We travel to Red River once or twice a year and have always made a point to stop in for a steak at Texas Reds. We've been eating there for years now since well before the fire. Once upon a time, Texas Reds was the place to go if you wanted to taste the best steak of your life and was well worth the extra expense. Over the last few years, the food has declined significantly and now is just average. Problem is, you're still PAYING as if you are buying the best steak of your life. We've kept coming back hoping for a taste of the old Texas Reds, but I think our visit this past week will probably be our last. If you do decide to try out Texas Reds, do yourself a favor and go without the kids. Whoever made the new kids menu has obviously never eaten a meal with children. My kids are definitely not picky, but were extremely underwhelmed by the 3 lonely choices on the kids' menu (which didn't even offer a hamburger).
