We've stayed at both the Golden Eagle and the Elk Horn lodges, which are basically the same establishment. The rooms are very dated, with no air conditioning or fans. They're clean enough, but expect old appliances and furnishings. The Lodge is located on the outskirts of town, so there's none of the noise from the bars and saloons. The owners are very nice, and provide gourmet coffee in the mornings. Be prepared to basically clean the room yourself, as they charge a cleaning fee if you don't sweep the floors (broom on carpet, for pete's sake!), clean the fridge and wipe down the bathroom. After 2 different stays, I'm not sure we'll go there again, although the location can't be beat if you don't want the bustle of town.
