We stayed at the Three Bears Lodge in August, the room was very rustic but the bed was great. It was nice to sit around the fire pit and visit and enjoy s'mores. We would stay there again!!!

Cabin off main street and close to river was actually quit quiet during this weekend. Owners were helpful and friendly. Cabin was rustic and charming, loved sitting on the porch watching the world go by.

This was our second time to stay at the 3 Bears, and were not disappointed the second time around at all. Both visits were very enjoyable the first being in December and the second being in June. Chris and Debbie are very sweet and know how to run a lodge! They are very accommodating, even to the point of sharing smores each night with all the children at the lodge...WOW..they are brave! They are very interesting and fun to talk to. The cabins are very lovely and clean. The beds are very comfortable with new mattresses. Everything has been redone and replaced in all the cabins. The cabins are also located right at the foot of the lift...very convenient! And also, the lodge is located right in the middle of town. All of this for a very reasonable rate. We will be there most likely 2 times a year with them. Thumbs way up for 3bears Lodge and to Chris and Debbie as well!!!

We stayed at the Three Bears Lodge in Red River primarily based on other reviews I read on Trip Advisor. It lived up to the reviews. The cabin was perfect for our trip and its location was in close walking proximity to all of Red River. The beds were comfortable and the flat screen tv was a nice addition in the late evening. What was also appealing was the price. It affordid us the ability to stay more than one night. The hosts were very friendly and accomodating like most folks you meet in this lovely town. Thank you for giving us a great affordable place to make more Red River memories. We will definitely be back next year!!! The Wyatts

Stayed with my family for a week on a stay-cation. The owners are great. Very hospitable and attentive. They served smores and ale around a fire pit each night. Cabins are a perfect home away from home. Loved Red River. Everything is walkable. My kids enjoyed riding there bikes all over town.

A friend recommended 3 Bears, and we're so glad we took their advice. The owners, Chris and Debbie, are so sweet and made us feel like family during our stay. They've only owned the place since Oct. 2009 but have already put in new mattresses, new flat screen TVs with cable, futons and are planning other improvements too.

These are great cabins that fit the feel of Red River. We were there to ski. We had a two bedroom which was just the right size for 2 adults and 2 children. Even with one bathroom it still worked just fine. You might bring an extension cord since there's not an outlet in the bathroom and my hair dryer cord wasn't quite long enough to easily reach the mirror in the bedroom. Or you could just bring an extra mirror. But it still worked fine. There aren't any drawers really to put your clothes, but there is a little closet off each bedroom where you can hang things. Our brother and his family stayed next door in the 3 bedroom cabin. It was perfect for all 6 of them too.

It was easy to park the car in front of the cabin and get our ski equipment in and out. The futon made into a great extra bed when our kids didn't want to sleep together. We loved the little woodburning stove at night. They provided the wood, firestarter and lighter too.

We had a microwave, refrigerator, toaster oven, gas stove/oven, and coffee maker. My husband and I actually had fun washing the dishes each morning since it gave us a chance to talk. There's the grocery store in town called Der Market but it doesn't have as much as larger store like Wal-Mart, Kroger, Albertsons, etc. so you might want to make a stop before you get in town.

The cabins are rustic, but that's the whole point of being in a cabin and it was much cheaper than some of the other lodging in town. Plus the cabin made you feel like you were truly in the mountains. They do have free Wi-Fi access in the cabins.

Chris and Debbie do all of the work themselves and provided us with everything we needed. Our daughter had altitude sickness the first day, and they continued to bring fresh towels and check on her. They were full of great information about Red River, and Chris was very helpful in talking about skiing and the ski area. Debbie told the kids all about the deer, and we fed them a couple of times right off our front porch. They loved Bugles, and Debbie said they're partial to oatmeal cookies. Our kids were as excited about the deer as they were about skiing.

The Copper chair lift was just a few yards away from our cabin. But even driving to the main parking for the ski area took less than 5 minutes. It really spoiled us. It was probably closer than some ski in/ski out places we've stayed. We walked to all of the restaurants in town.

Chris and Debbie had a fire going out back one night and provided everything we needed to make smores. It was such a wonderful night and memory. We spent time talking with them and the other guests. It made the trip so much more personal and family-oriented. Since it was the end of the ski season, some of the stores and restaurants were closed so owners could go on vacation before the start of the Spring and Summer season. We still ate at some great places and found some good shops. One winter, we'd also love to snowshoe or cross country ski at Enchanted Forest a few miles away. Everyone said if you like the winter in Red River, that you'll love Spring and Summer. Debbie said the town of Red River has a lot to offer in the summer for families. There are several weekend events and festivals as well as offering things for the kids. We'd love to river raft, hike, take a jeep tour, fish and just enjoy the cool mountain weather. We can't wait to come back in any season and stay at 3 Bears.

We stayed 4 nights at the Three Bears Lodge and will definitely go back. We stayed in cabin 5 which is directly across from the Copper Chair lift. It was amazing. Plenty of room for me, my husband, Mom, and 1 year old. My husband and I stayed in 1 room and my Mom and the baby in the other. Our pack and play is pretty big and it fit in the room just fine. We cooked almost all of our meals and the kitchen had everything we needed. I brought my crockpot. The coffee pot and microwave were used often. Also the toaster oven was perfect and meant we didn't need the oven. The owners, Chris and Debbie, are warm and accommodating. We never really needed anything but I know they would have helped us out if we did. We went out to the fire pit one night to visit with them one night, but stayed in the others due to being exhausted from skiing. The lodge not having a hot tub wasn't a big deal for us. I was a novice skiier so I wasn't able to ski out from the hotel. But it was about a 1 minute drive to the main lodge where I took my lessons and skiied. Not a big deal. Next time I will leave my ski gear at the lodge and not bother carting it back and forth. We had a great visit and look forward to many more.
