“BEST FAMILY VACAY!!”
Reviewed June 26, 2013

We stayed in the 3 bedroom cabin. It was PERFECT for our family getaway. The kids had a blast and we LOVED the fact that the owners were so warm and friendly! We got to spend 2 nights enjoying the smores and good company visiting with Chris and Debbie. My son hurt his ankle and she even went inside to get him ice for it. We will DEFINITELY be going back! We were right in the middle of town so everything was within easy walking distance!

We stayed in the smallest cabin with only a microwave and the outside grill for cooking but we were prepared for this and were able to get along just fine. Debbie was so sweet to us when we checked in and asked about humming birds that she took her newly hung feeder in the front and moved it to our cabin and it was visited early the next morning and continually throughout our stay. We visited in May, so there's little to do in town except walk and enjoy nature, which we did every day. This lodge is less than half a block from a ski lift, so for winter visitors, it would be great! The walking trail along the river was fun...and supposed to be fine for kids. I'm a 66 year old and found some areas a little difficult along the trail, so be ready. Based on reviews from others we chose this lodge to visit and could not have been happier with our accommodations. Candy and Hal

I took the wife and kids skiing for the first time. We were extremely lucky to find a cabin at 3 Bears Lodge available. The cabin we stayed in had a wood burning stove (along with electic heat) which made our evenings after skiing very comfortable and fun. Chris and Debbie treat you like a member of their family. The location is so close to the Copper lift that we actually stepped out the front door, put on our skiis, and slid accross the street into the lift chair after a heavy snow. When there's no snow in the street, it's nothing more than a 50 yard walk with your skis and poles. Take some treats for the deer that come out in the mornings and afternoon to see what the tourists have for them. If you're looking for a cozy, quaint, and easy place to stay for skiing, 3 Bears Lodge is for you. Very reasonably priced. We will definately stay there again.

We stayed at Cabin 5 at Three Bears Lodge for five nights. The hostess was very helpful on checking us in and giving us tips about the town and the cabin. The cabin was two bedrooms, each with a double bed, and one bathroom and the kitchen was well appointed. However, the jewel of the cabin was the wood burning heater/fireplace. It is cast iron and the wood burns extremely well, and there is always an amble supply of firewood. After spending the day on the slopes, it was so relaxing to recline on the sofa with a nice fire. It was extremely comfortable and just so relaxing. It could not have been more perfect.

Room Tip: The two bedroom cabins were excellent. If you are addicted to K-Cups like we are, bring your own Ke...

If your expecting 5 star hotel accommodations this isn't the place for you. It's called a LODGE for a reason but if you looking for GREAT back door ski lift access, this is #1. Full kitchen (no disposal or dishwasher) full size fridge, microwave, gas stove/oven, coffeemaker, toaster oven. Stocked with the necessary, bare bone tools to prepare a meal, no glass bowls for microwave. Bring your own crock pot if needed. No telephone to phone front desk if needed, AT&T cell worked fine most of the time. Futon & really small uncomfortable chair in front of a small flat screen with cable. Claim 150 channels & Showtime but a lot of them don't come in. WiFi is SLOW when it works but heck who needs the hassle when you're there to have fun. Small bedrooms on either side joined by a bathroom. SMALL shower. If your over 5'5" you'll have to duck under the shower head. Plenty of hot water. I'd have preferred a hot soak in a bath after a cold day of skiing. No tv in the bedrooms but plenty of warm blankets on the new comfortable pillow top mattress. The whole place is wood so there is no light stepping without everyone in your cabin hearing the patter of your feet or going to the bathroom. The place is so peaceful & quiet you will hear the rustling of neighbors on either side. There is something that resembles a closet, no hangers. Heater will keep you warm in sub temperatures plus a nice touch is wood burning fireplace. The handyman/porter is A+ added bonus. Chopped kindling for me to start fire, ask for anything & he will drop everything to delivery. Plenty of firewood for the taking & dried corn to feed the 10+ deer that show up daily to eat out of your hand. 3 nights a week they host a s'more roast, very nice touch. Owners are very nice & go out of their way to make your stay memorable. They've done a lot of updating. Nice place to stay & would recommend as long as you don't expect 5 star comforts, remember it's a lodge :)

Our cabin was perfect for our group. We had four people in a 2 bedroom cabin and easily could've accommodated five. The cabin was very clean and had all the necessary items to make it feel like home away from home. Not to mention a killer location and wonderful service! We would definitely recommend staying at Three Bears Lodge! We will definitely return soon!
