“FYI - This is under new management! Great hotel!!!”
Reviewed March 17, 2014

FYI - The guy that worked at the front desk informed me that this hotel was put under new management a year ago, and is now called the Hotel Ryland. Reviews from before probably do not reflect the current management. We spent just one night in Red River, and absolutely loved the Hotel Ryland! The rooms are very cute, clean and comfortable. The staff is incredibly friendly, helping with directions and even giving us ice when we needed to fill our cooler. It was also really affordable. We would stay there again in a heartbeat! Wonderful place, highly recommended! Our room had a king size bed in the bedroom part of it, and then had a separate "living room" part with a huge TV and a fold out futon. The bathroom was also very clean and looked newly renovated. Very affordable and very friendly staff!

A couple words of feedback: if possible, it would be nice if the fireplace in our room worked. Also, check-out time is 10 am, which was pretty early for us. When I asked if we could stay until 10:30, they were totally fine with that, so that's good, but the set check-out time of 10 am was a little on the early side in our opinion.

Room Tip: 113 has a king size bed and a pull out couch. Cute room.

We have stayed at many small hotels/motels around New Mexico so we didn't expect too much. Hotel Ryland was superior!! Updated rooms! Beautiful bedding! Super Clean! Nice amenities in the room. Our room had a King Bed so there was very little space in the bedroom but with the room having a seperate living area with a futon couch made the room very comfortable for the 2 of us. Room would be comfortable for 1 3 people only. Crystal at Red River Rentals was professional and polite. We even got a welcome bag of goodies when we were personally escorted to our room. We would definitely will stay here again.

we stayed there on july 11-13 2013 The room was very clean and cozy, it was well worth the price which was one of the cheapest intown. The young man that checked us in and helped us at the hotel was named Joseph and was very acomadating, he made sure we had plenty of everthing we needed. We will stay there again.

A $100. charge was put on my credit card and have been trying for 4 days to get it off. The girl when we checked in was rude. No remote for tv and only 1 blanket for 3 beds.Would not stay there again.

I am sure it is a product of it owns sucess, but not a lot of money reinvested back into the hotel. We booked two nights and left after one becuase it was dirty and old. The second star is that they do accept pets. I appreciate that but not enough to stay there again.

Pleasently surprised after some of the recent scathing reviews and based my stay on the overall aggregate over time. The place is older and dated in both motif and furnishings but for an outdoor town like Red River it was nice to have a bit of rustic instead the run of the meal franchise style hotel. Rooms have a lot of character and obviously some history; but you are not going to find a better deal in town. I was particularly concerned about cleaniness given some of the descriptions but I think worn is a better description for the furnishings as the property is actually quite clean.
