A salad capresi with grilled artichoke and asparagus was divine. Oso bucco ravioli disappointing as was a shrimp linguini dish ~ merely average. Excellent wine and service. Dessert of chocolate mousse a lovely with creative presentation but mousse itself unremarkable. Beautiful, crispy and light tortilla bearing this dish was probably great the day it was created. Definitely worth a try and highly recommended by locals.

The food is fantastic. The Italian soup is stunning, we went back for every meal in hopes of more. The wine list is great too. It is well worth the expense.

Despite its name that implies New Mexican cuisine, this is a very good Italian restaurant. However, it's not the typical red sauce and pasta Italian food. The grilled salmon with a butter, caper sauce on a bed of fresh spinach and angel hair pasta was delicious! Other entrees also looked good.

As a local, I try to support local business whenever I can. However, this place is too much. I ordered Seafood Veracruz--I have no idea what this was but it was not Seafood Veracruz. Pescado Veracruz is a delicious mix of tomato and spices served over fish, and is something every restauraunt in Mexico has a version of. This was some sort of strange seafood salad of tiny frozen shrimp and even smaller fish bits served in a tasteless watery sauce, presented in old clamshells, and served with lots of packaged tortilla chips, topped off with the worst, most tasteless guacamole ever--the guac was salty, had no lime or garlic, and was already discolored. This is some of the worst food in Taos and you have been warned. Anyone calling this gourmet needs to get out more. To top it off, our meal was $49, with a bottled beer for me and a glass of wine for my wife, which I don't consider to be "great prices." A big disappointment.

The lunch and dinner specials are to die for, especially reasonable at lunch. Perhaps the most creative chef in Taos.
