“Quiet and modest Catholic influence at this church.”
Reviewed July 19, 2014

This place is worth a visit if you are in the area. This structure is right off of Pasedo de Pueblo in between San Francisco and Valerio and surprisingly is difficult to find as the Church does not face the street, so it is easy to miss.

There was no one else here when we visited and there is really nothing very notable except for the adobe architecture. The Catholic influence, good or bad, is readily evident in this area and well represented by this small Church.

“A must Stop!”
Reviewed July 17, 2014

Great to photograph, a piece of serious New Mexico History. A must stop! It's on the tourist map so many will stop here but it's a quick stop and people will come and go. You can have it all to yourself, if you wait just a few minutes.

“A Classic of Art and Photography”
Reviewed July 16, 2014

The church exterior is the highlight, particularly when viewed from the classic west side. Shadows and light patterns make the scene.

“Pretty church”
Reviewed July 15, 2014

It's a beautiful church built in adobe style. It's worth a quick stop during a drive through Taos or on a trip to Taos. There are no restaurants nearby. The church has restrooms and there is a small gift shop.

“Historical Church”
Reviewed July 11, 2014

We went inside and no photos are allowed but I remember the colors used for decorative works are a red and a bluish green color for the robes of the figures, saints, etc. It is like many California Mission churches; the painting and the figures are in the simple "naive" style - full of devotion and piety. We sketched the outside, I was there on an artist tour of Taos and Abiquiu.
