“Loved the trees and patios. Need to come back and try on winter”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 30, 2013

Loved the trees and patios. Made a very warm day still seem nice. Loved the breakfast and the hammock. Thick adobe walls keep room temperature cool but there is AC if needed. Tv also , but why bother if you are trying to get away? Say hi to the two friendly dogs and the cat too. Tbank you for the bottle of champagne.

My boyfriend and I took this impromptu trip from Denver and stayed at this wonderful bed and breakfast! This place is nothing like you have stayed in before. The location is an old adobe type location, very very authentic!! Plus the breakfast was amazing!! 3 course meal! Definitely stay here! Plus when I forgot my pillow and they mailed it to me!

I am always skeptical when reviews are effusive, but after spending time at Adobe Pines we understand why everyone raves about Renee and Phillip. The breakfasts are tasty, unique, and filling enough to last until well after noon. The setting is peaceful, and it is relaxing to visit the chicken pen (and thanks for the fresh breakfast eggs). The feel of 180 year old adobe is amazing.

BTW, be sure to eat a dinner at Martina’s restaurant right up the street. What an incredible meal in a phenomenal restored adobe structure. Doc Marten’s was a good meal, but Martina’s was a fantastic experience.

If you suffer from asthma, consult with Renee on which rooms might be best for you. (Much of New Mexico uses wood fires for heating and cooking, and there are many trees and bushes that emit various pollens and irritants, especially in the spring. This can be rough on allergies.) We had a cozy room with a woodburning fireplace, but had to change to a room with a gas log fireplace. As you can imagine, Renee and Phillip were incredibly accommodating to our needs.

We don’t know when we will next be in Taos, but Adobe Pines will be our home. Great job Renee and Phillip—continued success!

Ed & Vicki

Room Tip: Spend a bit more for a Casita room--it is worth it!

After spending three fun filled, but go-go-go days in New Mexico we arrived in Taos and the Adobe and Pines B&B. What a wonderful, relaxing and beautiful inn. The inn has many beautiful gardens and all kinds of nooks and grannies in which to explore and relax. The breakfasts are a culinary pleasure. The hosts, Renee and Phillip are so welcoming and so knowledgeable about the surrounding area. So if you want to rest and relax under the huge trees or see all the sights in the Taos area this wonderful Spanish Hacienda is the place for you.

We happened upon this B&B while looking unsuccessfully for a good place to tent camp. We had reached the south end of town and were about to turn around and head for a hotel belonging to a known chain, when we saw the Adobe & Pines sign. We have stayed in B&Bs before and usually enjoy them. We were a bit concerned about how expensive it would be, but Phillip offered us a great room at the same price as the hotel we were heading to (we had called the hotel earlier while doing some research before arriving in Taos). We had a WONDERFUL experience. We enjoyed a hot tub, and the very spacious and comfortable open space. Parking lot is secluded from main highway, so felt our vehicle was safe. To be honest, the breakfast they served us was the best tasting and perhaps healthiest breakfast I have ever had. Decor and atmosphere was impressive and very contextually appropriate for Taos. We will stay here again if ever through Taos, and will heartily recommend it to friends.

I can't say enough about the wonderful experience my husband and I had at A&P B&B. From beginning to to end It more than met my expectations. Rene and Phillip are super nice and are great hosts! And the breakfasts, So yummy! The grounds are so peaceful and beautifully landscaped rooms fun and well appointed with lots of Southwest charm. I enjoyed wandering the property in the early AM with my coffee mug. I would highly recommend the Adobe and Pines to anyone. I will defiantly be going back!

We stayed in the 200 year old section of this bed and breakfast. Wonderful owners and large three course delicious breakfast. Very rustic surroundings. Quiet and tranquil place. Only negative is small bathrooms. We had a wood fire that was a wonderful way to end our stay. Gladvwevdecided to stay here.

Room Tip: We chose the Azulejo room which is one of the oldest because of the price.
