Rooms are about $63 per night. Extremely clean and comfortable and large. No ice machine--you take your bucket to the cafe and they'll fill it for you. Cafe is reasonably priced and has two very attractive and friendly waitresses. Just a great place to spend the night and get some grub before you're on the road again...

We stayed at the Largo Motel and Cafe in Quemado, NM during the Memorial Day weekend. This motel was exceptionally clean. The staff was probably the friendliest I've seen in a long time. The restaurant was right there on the premises as well. It was nice to find this out in the middle of nowhere. The only thing missing was a comfortable bed, but we are rather picky about that. We would definitely stay there again. Thumbs up!

We thought the Largo was terrific to find in west central New Mexico. We have been in the area many times but never stopped here. The hotel room was a nice size and the furnishings were not plain Motel 6 but actually had a little style to them. The room was really clean (I mean the CREAM colored upholstery club chair and ottoman were even clean.) Who furnishes a motel room with white upholstery! The carpet and bathroom tile looked new. No frig. Ice available from very friendly staff in the restaurant. Would definitely stay here again.
High marks to the restaurant too.

Room Tip: Rooms all seemed pretty much the same.

Yes, it's new and clean. It's not cheap for what you get; we paid $68 (tax included) for a room that wouldn't be a bargain at $60. The internet doesn't work, and it appears hasn't in quite a while (I see a July review with the same problem). There is a satellite-tv system in the rooms with five-step instructions that seem to leave out a couple of steps: it took us 15 minutes to figure out how to get ESPN2, and the television set was tiny. No tissue in rooms, and no smoking rooms available. Next time I'm in Quemado, I'll try the place across the street.

First you have to realize that you're in-between Springerville, AZ and Datil, NM. Not a lot to choose from in this area, but the Largo has come a long way in the last few years. It's been cleaned up like new, staff is helpful and the cafe next door is still serving something better than I can cook. What most people don't know about the area is the scenic drive north, northwest of Quemado. There's even a sign just west of town that directs you to Salt Lake. Take this ride, make sure you have a detailed map and keep going to the northwest side of Catron Co. It's bleak out there, but since you're near the outside of nowhere, check it out.

This motel is a very good place to stay in rural western New Mexico. Our rooms was very comfortable, the bed was good and the room was clean. The wireless internet wasn't working, but that wasn't a big problem and the folks in the restaurant did try to solve the problem. This is a no-frills place, but it was far better than I expected to find in such a small village. The restaurant was good, too--we had breakfast there and it was well-prepared. Service was very friendly in both the motel and restaurant. I recommend the Largo Motel as a good place to stay if you need to spend the night in western New Mexico and are away from larger cities (of which there are almost none west of I-25 until you go north into the Gallup area).

We stopped here on a road trip from Calilfornia to Tennessee (it was our stop in between the Grand Canyon and Dallas). We arrived quite late, but there were still people in the cafe and we were able to get our key from there. The room was pretty modern, very clean and neat. We had a great nights sleep and in the morning had breakfast in the cafe. The staff were very helpful and filled our ice chest up in the cafe kitchen when they saw my boyfriend trying to fill it using the ice machine. An all round good experience!
