On my way back to Bulgaria to France, I needed to stop for the night and didn't want to be too far away from the highway and don't get in the fuss of town since I had already visited Gyor ...

Wanted also something original and in the countryside ... From the photos and description, it seemed like the perfect place ...

Late arrival around 21:30 and very warmly welcomed by the owner how knew some french words ... Was offered a welcome drink (better not have to drive after that ;-) )

Nice terrasse to relax after a day of driving, had a meal on the way, so had to decline the offer they made of making me one (but nice gesture)

Rooms are very spacious and cosy ...

After a good night sleep, it was nice to have breakfast outside on the terrasse again, enjoying the morning sun and the fresh air as well as the silence ...

The breakfast is simple and efficient ...

This place has history and has winery cellars on the road leading to it ...

Next time, I'll stay a little longer to have time to appreciate it more ...

We arrived a bit late in the evening and the place was busy with a large group for dinner but we were taken up to our room and the restaurant made a very nice meal with good local wine. Menu prices are maybe a little bit high for the area, but this reflects the excellent quality. Hotel is an interesting old building The room was comfortable with lots of wood decoration. Breakfast was very nice with personal service. The location at Nyul is convenient for visiting Pannonhalma and the town of Gyor. Driving from Budapest the hotel was a bit hard to find for the first time in the dark so it is worth being clear on directions.

Best experience of food, wine and spirits tasting in Hungary.
Relax and good service are most important elements of this staying.
I'll be there again very soon. Suggested!!
