We had the pleasure of eating at The Roosevelt Brewery this past week (Feb. 2014). We were promptly greeted and seated in a very interesting and clean restaraunt. Our very friendly wait staff was helpful and informative.
This place cooks in a wood oven and the crust of the pizza and the calzone were perfect. I had the Triple Pig: Pepperoni, sweet ale-braised sausage, pancetta ham; which was too big for one person but ohhhh so good. The others in my party enjoyed the Cheesesteak: Green chile, roasted onions, ale-braised button mushrooms, roasted peppers, provolone, mayo and the Baked Reuben: Corned beef, sauerkraut, our thousand island dressing, Jarlsburg Swiss, on our rye roll and the New Mexican Calzone: Red or Green Chile, applewood bacon, ale-braised sausage, pepperjack, our pickled jalapeños, mozzarella. Along with the great food we enjoyed the Blackwater Porter and Sour Cherry Beer.
Don't fill up on the wonderful food because the cupcakes are a joy to your tastebuds. I cannot say enough about the Lemon cupcake. No one in our party is really a big lemon dessert fan but we all wished we had had room for more of this sweet treat. The double chocolate is any chocolate lovers delight.
