My latest stay at the Taos Trail Inn was over Memorial Day weekend. This place is a favorite spot of mine, and offers a great spot to relax when visiting the hot springs at Ojo. In the summer time, there is great music on the patio too!
I stayed in the new Acequia Room at the Taos Trail Inn this visit. This suite offers a nice sitting area, lovely comfortable bed, small kitchen/dining area, recently renovated bathroom with fabulous new shower area and opens up to a lovely deck by one of the area aquecias (ditches). A lovely spot to retreat to any time of the year, but especially nice in the warmer weather months. The room has a coffee maker and also a small fridge for your drinks and other food items.
The Taos Trail Inn also has a great restaurant that is open on Friday and Saturday evenings. They have a new chef who was making some delicious creations during my visit, including smoked BBQ ribs with some carmelize brussels sprouts. Wine and beer available along with great jazz on the patio. If you are lucky, they might just let you sit in!
Pam and Dave do a great job of making their guests feel welcomed during their time at this spot. Next time you are at Ojo, make the plan to spend time at the Taos Trail Inn for some good food, music and relaxation time!More
