I arrived at this Super 8 exhausted (I rode a bicycle 60 miles into a strong wind).
Furthermore, being a foreign tourist, I was an easy prey.
I was waiting at the front desk, into the line, behind a group of bikers. The desk clerk, a rough white hair old woman, took away my passport and my credit card from my hands and asked me to wait, saying, with a saccharine smile, "just to end with the group".
In a flash, I was charged more than $90 for a night, before I can ask the question "How much is it?".
I asked for the receipt (at this time I didn't know how much I paid). She refused, telling I'll get it only after the checking off.
Recently, I sent a complaint to Super 8 website. I received a model answer of no interest.
If Super 8 is so poor, I can organize a collect and send it some bucks. But, just ask it politely.More
