“Great Ambiance”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

This restaurant is always a great place to visit when in the area. Although the taste of the food is not what is has been in the past. It seems to be a hit and miss now with regard to service and food flavor which is what drew me back over the years. But, it is still decent and the location is great if you want to walk around the plaza after your meal.

“Food only average, but everything else very good”
Reviewed November 4, 2012

Personable staff, pretty environment (especially the patio), extensive menu, and the food is very attractive.

Prices reasonable as long as you stick to the food and forego the drink, such as specialty margaritas for almost 9 bucks. Non-alcoholic beverages more than 2 bucks. Aieee.

As for the taste of the food, it was fine.

I'd visit La Posta again if I were with a companion and we just wanted to hang out in a friendly, relaxing atmosphere for an hour or so, and managed our expectations re: the food. But I'd prefer to try out one of the other places around the plaza first.

A favorite in Las Cruces. Couldn't get in this weekend but have never been disappointed with any meal there.

“High Volume, But True To Its roots”
Reviewed October 25, 2012

La Posta is a "must" on any Las Cruces visitor's itinerary. Creative dishes and a warm, welcoming environment make La Posta worth the trip. Understand that this is a high-volume, tourist-friendly place -- but it remains true to its roots. Ask to be seated in one of the smaller rooms and avoid peak times. We loved it.

“Best Mexican in a Long Time”
Reviewed October 25, 2012

Restaurant atmosphere and food is worth the 30 minute wait. We enjoyed the best tostadas we had ever had. That is one of their famous dishes. Service was very good and atmosphere is exceptional.
