We had a yummy, amazing meal here! Charm galore, food delicious and service great. I can't wait to go back to Santa Fe so we can stop her for lunch again. And check out the fantastic art work and galleries. Madrid is a great day trip and we loved every minute!

Josh has many delicious items on the menu. My favorite is the pork and gravy with mashed potatoes which is on the dinner menu only...outrageous. lunch one of my favorites are the green fried tomatoes okra and the buffalo chicken sandwich. They offer wine a good selection I may add (layer cake, Cline ect) and beer. I would not hesitate to recommend to visitors here in NM and locals

We live in Santa Fe and ride down NM14 to Madrid on our Triumph motorcycle several times per year. Invariably, we look for a table at The Hollar.

The food has improved dramatically in the past couple of years, andvthe superlatives in the reviews below are well deserved bt The Hollar.

We go for the outdoor seating and live music, and to sip on a beer over lunch.

Madrid is a fun little town to walk around and browse, and when you are ready to sit down and relax, The Hollar is the place

Hollar Restaurant was our first stop of a 7-day NM-AZ family holiday, after having landed ABQ Airport hour earlier.

It is in the middle of Madrid on the Turquoise Trail. Colorful people add to its fun. Clientele are welcome to bring their dogs to the patio area, and there is even a canine menu. Really.

Delightful find. Don't let outside appearance discourage you from going in.

On a Thursday afternoon in November, seems half the population of Madrid stopped in for some fine brewskis on the patio.

Highly recommend the pork burrito with salad side. See Pics, uploaded.

Santa Fe Pale Ale for $4 is perfect complement to spicy but not too spicy lunch.

Tip: Check your receipt for an error. Ours includes recommended tip at 15, 18 and 20%. Except computation was based on meal AND tax. A no-no error. Anyway, we tipped well.

We live in the area and have been to Madrid several times, but have never tried the Hollar. We decided to try it this trip for breakfast and it was excellent. The food was very good and the service was very good as well. The restaurant is very small, but nicely done. I love grits and their cheese grits are excellent
