“Loved it!”
Reviewed April 26, 2014

This historic site has a wonderful museum and a film to get you started on understanding the history of the place. The mile and a quarter walk around the ruins is a must with breathtaking scenery as a backdrop for the relics.

“Loved This Park”
Reviewed April 15, 2014

Well worth making the easy drive from Santa Fe. Admission fee is nominal and the park is an easy walk. The scenery is beautiful. Be sure to purchase the informative booklet that details the park history at markers along the trail. There are picnic tables (3) at the main entrance and several more at a separate parking area.

I have been to Pecos National Historic Park several times. I love history and this is a great place to get up close and personal with the history of the southwest, not to mention a great walk on a nice day!

“Easy to visit, great history”
Reviewed April 7, 2014

This National Historic Park is about an hour from Santa Fe, to the east. It is easy to visit and has 2 main areas to see: ruins of the Pecos Pueblo and the ruins of a Spanish Mission. And if you follow the path all around, you will cross part of the Santa Fe trail. There are ladders where you can climb down into two kivas, one in the pueblo ruins and one in the mission.

“nice ruins, worth a stop”
Reviewed March 18, 2014 via mobile

If you are physically challenged, you can drive to the main and best ruins. Even in a wheelchair you could see most of what is best. There are pottery shards lying is a low area to the left of the mission. They were all nice and flat which made me suspect they'd been seeded there. The ranger told me they had over a million pieces of pottery at their station. Guess they could spare some.
