This a place to relax, chips and salsa on arrival and a garden with pond to eat them in. Your room is personally made up when you arrive. You also have a good Mexican restaurant a few blocks away. Easy to get to from I10

As soon as we drove up to the hotel we could tell the owners really put alot of work into it. Quirky pepper deco was all over the place. They were super friendly. Room was nice and clean, no carpet. Brought us chips and salsa to our room. Nice outside space with pool, gazebo and koi pond. Would definitely stay here again.

My daughter's softball team stayed here a couple of weeks ago for 5 days and what a surprise this motel turned out to be! I have to admit that when we first pulled up I was disappointed by the look of the motel but what they lack in decor they owners MORE than make up for in hospitality! You won't be sorry you stayed here. I read the reviews prior to staying here and yes, they do bring you chips and salsa! The nicest surprise was their willingness to make us very comfortable right from the start...not an easy thing to do with 11 teenage girls and their families too. When we arrived, their WiFi wasn't working on our side of the motel. Not only did the owner go out and buy the part to fix it right then and there but he even took the time to help my son hook up his XBox! They gave us everything that we needed while we were there even all the supplies needed for a BBQ. All we brought was meat and bread. They have a very nice BBQ area with a cool Koi pond and a clean pool. Trust me when I say that this place is a diamond in the rough. We will definitely stay there again next year!

Room Tip: Ask for the rooms on the east side of the motel that way your car is right out in front with easy ac...

The koi pond and garden were wonderful, the service excellent--they even came and made our pull out couches into beds for us. It's definitely a family-run business with even their young children put to work, which seemed a little strange.
Continental breakfast was sub-par, but it's obvious they've put a lot of money into this old hotel. Unfortunately, many of the potted plants were dead due to lack of water, which was jarring given the lushness of the garden elsewhere--mixed review.

Thank you for your review and finding the garden and surroundings enjoyable. After harvesting the cabbage, onion, garlic and cauliflower, there were some dead plants left in pots, our apologies. Some of the ornamental grasses appear dead at the top, but re-sprout ... it has been a particularly hard summer. Our parenting does encourage our school age children to help their mother. For others reading this review, our continental breakfast comprises 4 cereals, danish, muffins, toast, 2 juices, coffee and tea.

The owner/operators of this facility are doing a good job of improving everything. They are also excellent hosts.

The rooms are large, clean and the towels were awesome. As was the hot water!

The beds were comfy.

While not a 'top of the line' Americas Best Value Inn, it is still a place where you can safely stay and enjoy yourself.

The water garden is outstanding.

Appreciated the complimentary chips & salsa upon arrival, the spacious room, with fridge, & the helpful desk for good directions & guidance for visitors. Yes, there is a great big, red chile in the front and a little oasis that the owners have created in the back along side of the pool. The breakfast was adequate; the coffee needs to be improved (sorry). But everything else offset that. While there, we met guests who always return there annually who told us by Messilla, a quaint Hispano town nearby. We enjoyed the slower pace before heading towards So NM on our roadtrip.
