“Excellent Budget Accommodation”

For the price we paid, we were very happy with all aspects of this motel. Rooms were large and clean. We did not feel particularly unsafe in the motel or surrounding neighborhood. We wished that we could stay longer in Las Cruces and at this property. For example, we think that we would have enjoyed using the pool and the creatively landscaped courtyard (including gas grill).

We stayed on this hotel just for one night, it was comfortable and clean, we got chips and salsa at check in and the owners were very welcoming. I have only two small issues with it, the bathroom didn't have a fan and the breakfast was not very appetizing, I would come back and overall a pretty good place to stay.

Stopped here on trip to AZ as a last minute booking. Owners were absolutely wonderful, escorted us to our room and then returned shortly thereafter with extra towels and even served us chips and salsa, along with offer of complimentary sodas or water. Would highly recommend this hotel!!

We are retired and traveling the U.S. by car. This property is a mom and pop motel run by David and Elina. It is an old property that is being renovated by the owners. The room was clean, good hot water and pressure, good a/c, good TV, few towels, not the best part of town, and poor breakfast offering. This is a low budget motel that gets the job done and would have gotten a slightly better rating except for the safety issue with the room door and lock. The only lock on the door is a hardware store type lock with the key in the doorknob. The locks hasp only engages the door frame by a mere 1/4 inch. There is no deadbolt. This type of lock is similar to a bathroom door knob except this one has a key on the outside. Inside there is a low end hardware store chain to secure the door. Both the lock and chain are flimsy and inappropriate for a commercial property. We were afraid to leave our belongings in the room and head out. We noticed that the owners had a room a few doors away and their room door had a security grate type door in front of the regular motel door. Next time we will choose one of the other chain motels closer to the interstate for a few dollars more, a more secure room and and better breakfast. We are senior reviewers for Trip Advisor.

Room Tip: Always find a coupon in a coupon book or with an online APP on your Smart Phone.

Thank you for staying with us and offering your comments.
We take guest security seriously, hence the property is fully fenced, with recording security cameras installed and the pool is fenced and locked. The guest rooms are fitted with steel doors and commercial grade, self locking locks.
For other readers, the continental breakfast consists of 4 cereals, danish, muffin, bagel and bread, coffee, tea and juices, with seasonal fruits.

While staying in Las Cruces for business I reserved at the " Big Chile Inn" seeing that it was so highly rated. I am so happy that I did. David checked me in and we proceeded to have a wonderful conversation for a number of minutes (and throughout my stay BTW). He then showed me to my room where Elina was just finishing up. The room was incredibly clean and well provisioned. David recommended a great place for dinner which I followed and was very happy. All and all the most pleasant stay of my trip in New Mexico and Texas. I wish them both all the best of luck in their future endeavors with the Inn. Loved the giant chile and the VW microbus.

My husband and I traveled for 10 days and stayed in some gross hotels. This hotel is not only clean, newly renevated but the owners were one of a kind nice people! It feels more like a home than an average hotel. We brought our own sheets, pillow cases and comforter and this is the only hotel we didnt feel the need to use them. highly reccomend this hotel and would stay again!!

Room Tip: Rooms near the back are nice, its near the pool and just more private!

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean. The pool area was beautiful, gardens with outdoor seating and lots of shade. I will stay there again if I have to go to Las Cruces in the future, and would recommend the inn to friends and relatives.
