Not bad. If your heading east or west along I 10 to or from Arizona or California, it's a fair stop. I travel on business to Texas and Florida a lot. El Paso has one, but Juarez doesn't look very inviting, considering it is the murder capitol of the world. Among the Best Westerns in a 400 mile perimeter I think this one was decent to stay at overnight. The breakfast isn't bad or great. I prefer to eat real hearty ingredients, and the eggs and fruit were not satisfactory. I want real eggs and fresh fruit. Let's reduce the sodium in the bacon and sausage too. Also the juice is so full of sugar I can hardly taste the fruit in the juice. I do like that they provide good cable TV. Oh there is a train near by. I recommend scouting the relevance of it to your plans. I will say the rooms are sizeable and have an old school southwest style. The customer service was decent. I still do not like the clean remotes. They need to have input or source accessible for customers who perform multi media tasks.

Comfortable rooms and beds. Great, friendly staff. Just don't arrive too late because if something is wrong in the room (our mini fridge didn't work) no one answers the front desk. Would also have liked to have a dish of some sort available for our dog in the room (we let them know when we reserved the room that our dog would be coming). Most places, at least, provide a water dish for the pup. NOTE: Trains not too far away from this hotel.

We found this hotel to be charming. The room was spacious and full of rustic charm with a strong Mexican theme. I felt we had landed at the High Chaparral - very quaint. Breakfast was a refined affair for a small motel. The tables all had tablecloths with glass on top - not the normal wipe able cafe style table . There was a good selection of items to choose from at breakfast and all good quality.

We stayed two nights. Room is decorated nicely with the wood beams in ceiling and heavy cedar door which fits in with the western decor. The breakfast was excellent, set up like a restaurant. I was concerned when I saw that there were railroad tracks across the street, but the only time we saw a train was just after we checked in about 6:00 p.m. and when we checked out at about 11:00 a.m. If a train came during the night, we didn't hear it.

Quality of room was found excellent and service was very good especially at breakfast time. Full hot breakfast....one of the best ever for that type of hotel. We were however dissapointed by the poor reception of internet in our room. After having asked the front desk, they re-started the router but it only lasted for five minutes.

This is the best Best Western that we stay at - we use Best Western when we travel across the country twice a year. It is clean, the people are pleasant and competent, the breakfast is perfect and it is convenient to the University and Mesilla.

"Amber" is one great person to deal with. Know's alot about area and recommended a great Italian place for dining. Actually stayed here twice when passing through and then on return trip. Older dated hotel but quiet neighborhood and quite pleasant nights stay.
