Furr's Buffett located off I-25 and near the Walmart SuperCenter is regional chain of buffett style eating establishments. While this chain claims the words "Fresh Buffett", we found the dining experience to be lackluster and pricey for the quailty. Allot of the food that is offered comes from a can. Instant potatoes, canned deserts, frozen vegatables etc. While stopping there for a dinner after 6:00 PM on a Wednesday eveing, many of the food station food trays were dried up, and very unappealing. The liver looked like it was sitting for many hours, dried up and looking aweful. The cheese enchiladas were dried up and unappealing. The carving station had a dried up beef roast and dried up turkey and there wasn't anybody around to carve a piece, although I would not have eaten it anyway. Service is mixed with a "find a seat" style seating. Plates have a tendency to stack up before waitresses clean tables. For the price I would go elsewhere. Furr's as an eating establishment has really gone down hill, with a lack of quality foods. Salads were ok, and the desert tables looked aweful and very messy. When asking if the waitress ate the food, she replied she "no longer do" as she was tired of it. Not a very good projection from an employee. We checked the bathrooms to use and they had not been cleaned since 5 hours earlier. Not good. Several food stations had no plates for the patrons. You better be very hungry to eat here, and don't care about food presentation. The restaurant was very empty, and appears this may be a struggling unit of Furr's. We did not see any management on duty. Save your money and go elsewhere. This buffett was just terrible and needs lots of improvement before I would even consider eating there again. The iced tea and water was the best of all. Not worth the $21.27 spent for 2 adults.
