“Good breakfast”
Reviewed October 15, 2013

Glad to find a hotel that provided Gluten-free items for breakfast. Their complementary breakfast included eggs, bacon and yogurt. They also had waffles, cereal and fruit. The room was large and clean with a microwave and refrigerator.

My wife and I are both retired and we travel quite a bit. We had stayed in this hotel several times in the past and the last time we had a less than perfect experience which we spoke to the innkeeper about. This stay could not be better from the arrival to the checkout. The breakfast was great and I would strongly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: all floors are excellent

This is an older property but clean and the location is so-so, depending on what you are doing in Las Cruces.
The check in staff was very accommodating.
The hot tub was only warm but the pool was nice and clean.
My biggest gripe is the Steam Room was out of order (closed) and has been that way for months according to those that know. It is the standard “Maintenance is waiting for a part” answer.
I selected this property specifically because it advertised a steam room only to find out NOT!
The Pizzeria across the street could be a winner if you spend the time working with their complex menu. No beer, just wine. Lots of locals.
Red Hawk golf course is too physically tough for seniors.
Access to I-10 South at the 140 interchange is closed due to construction.
We stayed here on the rewards program for 10,000 points which was too much considering the steam room was K-puut. Day’s Inn down the street was going for $60.
If the steam room and the rest of the property were in full operation I would stay here again.

Room Tip: Room 112 near the pool had luke warm water in the late afternoon because it is near the laundry but...

This hotel was in a great location just off the freeway and right next to Old Mesilla. The rooms were standard size and were clean and comfortable. There was the normal choice of foods at breakfast but we had to ask each day for certain items to be replenished. The indoor pool and spa area was good and opened out on to a small patio at the back of the hotel. This was however a disappointment as it was equipped with old furniture and no screening from the pool machinery. A little bit of refurbishment would make this small area a much nicer place to enjoy the sunshine.
We felt this was a basic hotel that with a little upgrading in certain areas, it could be a good hotel.

Room Tip: Always choose a top floor

I stayed here in mid August 2013. The hotel is an older property with older furnishings that appear quite worn. Having said that, we just a needed a place to sleep to finish our journey with the kids. However, the beds were not that comfortable. The hotel boasts an indoor pool but be aware- it is very filthy according to my children and husband who lasted only 5 minutes and immediately came out to go shower. Their swimsuits suits stunk and when I asked why- my husband and kids said the water stunk, was cloudy, and the floor of the pool was slimy. After showering, the kids wanted to connect to the net which didn't work and then turned on the tv which also didn't work. When I called the front desk, the lady told me they have a tech working on both and they should work soon- however it took over an hour to fix and by that time we were exhausted and slept. The free breakfast was just some cereal, milk, eggs, coffee, breakfast meat, bagels, and toast. If I would choose again, I would definitely choose a much newer hotel with better sleep quality and newer facilities.

We stayed at this hotel because of the room rate quoted to us over the phone and because of the promise of a hot breakfast. When we checked in, we were charged $20 more than the promised rate. The room was adequate, but not remarkable. In the morning, the breakfast buffet had run out of items. An hour later, those items were replaced, but others had run out. The elevator didn't work; in order to get it to the second floor so we could take our luggage downstairs, we had to walk down to the first floor and then ride the elevator back up. The men's room in the lobby was out of toilet paper. Overall, basic services were neglected.

Room Tip: Stay someplace else.

We booked this room through Hotwire as a 3 star hotel that was compared to holiday inn and Hampton Inn. It is safe to say that when you are expecting equivalent to those the Comfort Inn and Suites will disappoint you. The rooms are run down and the beds are rock hard.

On a positive note the staff was accommodating and tried to relocate us to a different room but all of their beds were universal and rock hard. They also were willing to refund the money to the rooms with a hot rate, that was very much appreciated.

The staff was great and the rooms would be okay if one did not expect similar to holiday inn or Hampton inn.
