This Cracker Barrel is not far off I-10 in Las Cruces and is close to both motels and Walmart. This is a plus. We often eat there and then shop at Walmart as the location is not so near to home. It might be a bit inconvenient to get there off I-10 because several turns are required. However, sometimes, when on the road, it is nice to have a good, reliable standby in the way of food. We like the country vegetable plate. They have new vegetables to select from: baked sweet potatoes (with butter and brown sugar), fruit (strawberry or apple, right now), a salad of tomatoes, cucumber, and onion, and several other new ones. Of course, these can be selected as sides for a dinner. We especially find the country vegetable plate and the country dinner (with a pork chop or trout) to be a good value. There is plenty to eat. One can have either corn muffins or biscuits (or both). We like to ask for honey (for my husband) and blackberry preserves (for me) to go with our corn muffins. Sometimes they only bring one of each, so one has to ask for more. In the past, sometimes we have asked for apple butter for our corn muffins. This is an old-fashioned treat one doesn't usually get at restaurants. There is plenty of parking. It is sometimes hard to find a shady parking place, and this is important on a hot summer evening in the Southwest.

Great food as always, no waiting. Good comfort food when you are way from home. Close to Quality Inn.
We would definately eat here again.

Lots of customers in a dining and shopping establishment that may be modeled on the Vermont Country Store and the Bob Evans restaurant chain, but not as good as either. Large portions are served of all American favorites like fried chicken and country fried steaks. Here there is more of an emphasis on quantity and value rather than quality.
