We stayed here for one night on our way crossing the US in summer 2009. We were looking for a good-priced, safe Hotel and found this place. Compared to other places it was cheaper and still looked good enough. Location was alright.....not really far away from Old Mesilla.
The Hotel is clean and felt safe. It's not right on the front road, so it's pretty quiet. Right next door there's some food options and a big Walmart.
The room we got was ok...clean, but very basic. Beds were a bit small and there wasn't any fridge or microwave. But just for one night this place will do fine. If we would come back, this place would still be an option.

Have stayed at this hotel 3 times now. For the price and purpose - just a place to sleep & shower its very nice. Bedspreads do always tend to slide off the bed. Rooms have been clean and so have the bathrooms. Always has nice, clean white towels. Too cold for pool the first two trips, pool was too crowded with little kids this last go round to give it a try. Breakfast is pretty bland but there is a McDonalds across the street and a Starbucks around the corner. Also close to a Super WalMart in case you forgot something at home.

Nice clean rooms. It was quiet but busy. I stayed with my elderly Mom for 2 nights and the staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Coffee was good! I would stay there again. The Cracker Barrel rest. right across the parking lot was great too!

Another run-of-the-mill motel with its share of decent and not so decent. Staff were friendly. Pool was small but OK.
Rooms were standard size and layout but kind of smelly and depressing, despite this hotel not looking very old. Breakfast was included but far below average.
Bottom line, nothing good or bad that you won't forget quickly.

We stayed at this property twice a few years ago when it was the Baymont Inn and really liked it. However, our latest visit was rather disappointing. I admit, I now travel fairly frequently for business, so I typically stay in better hotels, but my husband doesn't travel and he was just as disappointed.

The decor looks really dated. It appears the beds still have the same "hotel-like" tropical bedspread as they had seven years ago. And it was so slick it kept sliding off the bed the entire night. Plus, the towels and washcloths were clean, but really small and thin.

We were most disturbed by the pool. It didn't look very clean, and there were TONS of cockroaches crawling on the pool desk. One night, my husband and I were sitting at a table with his sister and niece and at least 50 cockroaches were crawling around our feet. Really gross.

On the plus side, the staff, especially the housekeepers, were really nice and helpful

We live in N.C. and don't go to Las Cruces often, so when we do, we usually stay a week. That was five days too long to stay here. Next time, we're going elsewhere.

A former Baymont, newly remodled and great, especially for $27 a night including breakfast. Clean, orderly, easy access, Wal-Mart Supercenter next door. Just a great place, even with WAC basketball crowds and a film crew filming amovie on site during they stay, a great staff. It is across the street from another older La Quinta.
