“Lovely - great service, comfort, and quiet”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 19, 2013

This is our third visit to Las Cruces, and I think we've finally found a hotel we can return to again and again. We paid perhaps $10 more per night than the last place we stayed (Drury), and for that small difference had a huge upgrade in comfort and amenities.

First of all, the staff is great. Every housekeeper is friendly and helpful - the front desk very pleasant, and the breakfast staff overworked but really sweet.
Breakfast is outstanding - what what had at Drury was abysmal - here it's cooked fresh to order, lots of great omelette options, fresh fruit and yogurt, waffles, etc. We were here for 5 days and didn't get bored with the options.

The room is quite comfortable - from the great desk chair to the comfortable pull-out sofa, which seems like an oxymoron....we've been traveling a lot lately and I've slept on about a half-dozen, and this is the only one that gave me a good night's sleep. The real bed was great too. The only downside is the window shades aren't fully room darkening, so we always had a bit more light than we wanted.

One small thing - housekeeping often came knocking earlier than we'd like (about 8:15 on a weekday - which, since we're traveling from California, is 7:15 to us). We learned to put our "do not disturb" sign out, but then when we took the sign away after breakfast and went out for the day, the staff had not returned to clean (there is no reverse "please clean" side to the sign). They would usually reappear around 4 or 5 pm, right when we'd returned to relax. But they were very sweet about trying to find a better time, and brought fresh towels and extra blanket promptly.

The business center was nice to have to print things out, since the "print from your room" option did not work. Apparently front desk doesn't now how to fix this. Also, weirdly enough, the room phone didn't work - we could dial out but no call ever connected. Too busy to figure that one out.

All in all, a peaceful hotel in a great location for visiting NMSU. We had a ver nice view of the Organ Mountains, and our room on 2nd floor overlooking the pool was actually very quiet, with the exception of an occasionally heavy-footed upstairs neighbor and a bit of hall noise now and then, but nothing compared to other places we've stayed.

The decor of the hotel is really first rate, doesn't feel generic - and the pool and workout facilities are very nice. Highly recommended!

Room Tip: Our room overlooking mountains on 2nd floor was nice. My guess is all rooms will be fine, though pe...

Luxurious hotel with an awesome staff. The pool area is huge and rooms nicely decorated. We checked in here after a dreadful stay at Days Inn and for only a few dollars more on the weekend. I'm sure rates are much higher for NMSU events since this place is so close by. Restaurant on site which is good since not anything else within walking distance. There are several eating places within a couple of miles near the mall and campus. Only 1 or 2 minor issues I had was that the A/C will shut off in the middle of the night so if you are a light sleeper like me, you may want to have a fan with you (white noise?) Also, the building is bright white and in the New Mexico sun it can be "blinding" especially if you are out by the pool. I would have designed a more muted color, perhaps taupe with accents of sedona red trim?? Of course, most everything around here is of a brown color so the white IS a bit different..haha

Room Tip: Request high floor with view of the Organ Mountains and enjoy the sunset!

We love this place! The pool and outdoor amenities are fabulous. You feel as though you are at a spa. We loved the healthy snack bars that were offered as we checked in and the staff was so friendly and fun!

Stayed here for business. Rooms were clean and modern. The staff was very friendly. This is a safe location close to the University. The only draw back was when we checked out we found out that the beds were sleep number beds. Wish we were told that upon check in. They have a nice pool and spa for smaller property.

Past experiences have always influenced which hotels/inns I prefer to book for future travels. I can honestly say I've not been disappointed with any of my bookings thru the Hilton chain of Hotels/Inns. Also, just want to mention the breakfast cook at this particular location was absolutely fantastic!!!

My wife and I have vsited Las Cruces a few times and have stayed at several hotels. We stayed at the Hilton to check out the town and relax for a night. We wanted a larger hotel that had more ammenities than a quicky motel. The Hilton Garden Inn was just what were looking for. The Inn was spacious, had a nice modern decor, bar, large inviting pool area and a delicous, cooked to order breakfast. Our room was nicely decorated and overlooked the pool. It had a big screen TV and mini fridge and an awesome firm bed. If you are not in a hurry and want to relax, get a nice night sleep at the Hilton Grden Inn.
