“A Personalized, Impassioned, and Educational Wine Tasting Experience”
Reviewed September 14, 2013

Of the many wine tastings we did during our recent trip in the Cortona/Montepulciano area, Leuta was by far our favorite. We had actually tasted their Cab Franc at a party before visiting the vineyard so we already knew we liked the wine. What we didn't fully comprehend until visiting the winery and getting the tour and tasting with Denis and Maria was the complete philosophy and the very careful thought, attention to detail, and passion that goes in to every aspect of Leuta wine making.
Visit the vineyard and you will get a tour, tasting, and educational explanation of their wines. Beyond that, you will gain an understanding of the many considerations and facets to creating exceptional wine. Leuta is a relatively new vineyard. It is not a big commercial operation, but rather a intimate boutique winery. Your experience will be personal and casual. Don't worry if you are a neophyte when it comes to wine. It is completely un-intimidating and you will leave Leuta with a greater understanding of wine making and appreciation of fine wines. Don't forget to bring some home with you. Due to limited production very little is exported. We are savoring our last few bottles and wish we had brought back more!

“Wine tasting experience”
Reviewed September 11, 2013

We decided to experience the quality of the local wine maker and were pleasantly surprised by both the friendly welcome of the owner and the taste of the presented wines. Unfortunately no white wines, however the red ones compensated this lack more than enough! Leuta is not a big producer, with some 22.000 bottles a year. They go for quality, that's clear in taste and price. The Merlot and Sangiovese were our favourites. The pecorino, salami and bread completed this experience.

This winery is the (real deal). Denise and Maria welcome into their winery just as they would into their home. This wine is by far the best that we had on our entire trip to Italy. Until we meet again

“Not to be missed.”
Reviewed August 14, 2013

We visited the Leuta winery in a party whilst over in Cortona for our daughter's wedding. In the party were people of all ages and everyone enjoyed themselves immensely. Denis couldn't have been friendlier or more informative about his wine and its origins. The wine itself was delicious - it even managed to convert a couple of white wine drinkers. The accompanying nibbles were also local and v tasty. We would like to thank Denis for a lovely afternoon and wish him well with his future plans.
