“Wine tasting experience”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 11, 2013

We decided to experience the quality of the local wine maker and were pleasantly surprised by both the friendly welcome of the owner and the taste of the presented wines. Unfortunately no white wines, however the red ones compensated this lack more than enough! Leuta is not a big producer, with some 22.000 bottles a year. They go for quality, that's clear in taste and price. The Merlot and Sangiovese were our favourites. The pecorino, salami and bread completed this experience.

“enchanted Tuscany”

This winery is the (real deal). Denise and Maria welcome into their winery just as they would into their home. This wine is by far the best that we had on our entire trip to Italy. Until we meet again

“Not to be missed.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 14, 2013

We visited the Leuta winery in a party whilst over in Cortona for our daughter's wedding. In the party were people of all ages and everyone enjoyed themselves immensely. Denis couldn't have been friendlier or more informative about his wine and its origins. The wine itself was delicious - it even managed to convert a couple of white wine drinkers. The accompanying nibbles were also local and v tasty. We would like to thank Denis for a lovely afternoon and wish him well with his future plans.

“A wonderful afternoon near Cortona”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 11, 2013

My wife and I spend part of every summer in central Italy and visit many vineyards in Tuscany and Umbria. At a restaurant in Cortona, a waiter suggested that we visit Azienda Agricola Leuta, and he called Denis to make arrangements on very short notice. Denis was a gracious and charming host, with an interesting personal story to tell (how he made his way from finance in Milan to a vineyard in Tuscany) and many excellent wines for us to taste (including some that are unusual for a Tuscan vineyard). He then took us to his vineyard and the beautiful site where he is building his new house. The visit was as memorable as any that we have done to an Italian vineyard, and one that we will relive as we drink Denis's wines next summer in central Italy.
