Arrive during the day because you won't be able to find this place at night. It's dark and a little scary. If you can get someone to come to the lobby, you're luckier than I was. When I finally found someone, she was as nice as could be! I took the last room available, but didn't get much sleep because the heater in the room was LOUD and it looked like a fire hazard. Plus I was very worried about bed bugs, fleas, carbon monoxide, and the guys from "Deliverance". YIKES! I did come away unscathed, however. Except I had to wash my hair in the morning with a bar of soap because they didn't have any shampoo (it was a nice bar of soap though (goat's milk, nice!). But, the price was right. So was the location for a weary traveler.

Nice stay, very helpful staff. Room was clean, beds comfortable, Dish network in room, nice backyard with a couple of deer who showed up and wowed the kids. Advise making reservations as it was full all week. Nearby restaurants and good food in Blue Front tavern with a separate eating area. No coin op laundry in town.

Glenwood is a very small and remote town, so don't expect all the amenities of a city. This simple hotel is next to a creek. Very quiet and relaxing. We stayed in room 15, on the far end away from the "main" road (which doesn't get much traffic at night anyway). The proprietor was super nice. The rooms don't have Internet or phone, but there is free guest Internet at the public library nearby and a payphone at a nearby store. There is a little diner close by that is open only in the mornings. They have a fantastic selection of homemade jams for sale and some of the best green chile I've had (and I'm a New Mexican!). The Catwalk Trail is a few miles away and well worth the side trip.

We had 3 rooms for a group of five friends. Everyone was very satisfied and enjoyed a good nights sleep. The rooms are small and therefore cannot accomodate much furniture. Our room had a full bed and a twin bed. Both had good mattresses. The bathroom was small, but clean. There was a small closet. The room opened both to the front and the back. In back there is a lovely yard with gardens and sitting areas. A small stream runs at the back of the property.

We loved the area, the quietness of the motel, very clean room, no phone to wake you up. Alma Grill is a good place to have breakfast & lunch yum. Just 7 miles north-west. For dinner there is the Blue Front cafe, with-in walking distance. Got to go see the catwalk just 10 miles away, nice hike. Need to see the Hot Springs if you are in the area.
