Bills itself as an independent motel (not part of a chain). It is a great place to stay.

Total time at check-in: 45 seconds... no kidding! My wife thought there was a problem I was out so fast.

The rooms were spacious and clean. My only complaint (and this is minor) is I like a softer bed. Even so, it wasn't bad..

Retaurant on-site. They make a mean margarita--especially if you ask for some orange curacao in it. And be aware that the salsa is spicy!

The Region Inn Farmington, NM
August 2008

Our stay was not to bad until the morning after having breakfast in the hotel and talking to the maintance man for a while, only to find him in the room when we returned to it. A day later I realized that was the last place I remember seeing my cell phone, so we called and talked to Danny the manager to see if it was there of which he told us to call back in AM to talk to Tina, the head of housekeeping. Talking to Tina the very next morning and asking about a lost/stolen phone, she even asked if it was a green Samsung? She asked for our add and all info, I told her to let me know how much for shipping, she said it would be in the mail wihtin a day or two, 4 weeks later no phone, although calls were being made. Calling to see what the problem was Mng Danny & head of housekeeping deny even talking to us. We were not treated fairley and I would hate to see someone else go through an incident with something more serious than a cell phone.

We stopped for a night in Farmington on our way to the Four Corners, all the hotels/motels are pretty much clustered together around the highway and riverwalk area.

Price wise, The Region Inn won over some of the neighbouring properties and we found the room to be large and clean.

The check-in staff were very helpful and friendly and the hotel restaurant was a great find, the food far exceeded our expectations.

There doesn't seem much to do in the area, we asked the staff about going into "town" but they said there was no nightlife to speak off so we were best just checking out the other hotel bars, which we did, and then had an early night!

  • Liked — Large, clean room
  • Disliked — The location, but there didn't seem to be a town centre as such anyway

We had an Uncle that passed away. We had to go to a Rosary that night. We were short on time. So I checked out the hotels on the computer that afternoon ahead of time that would be close to the church. We also wanted a place with a hot tub for when we got back to the room we could relax after all the stress of the evening. They had advertised the room on the computer for $59.00. When we got there they charged us $89.00 per room. So okay. We went ahead and and got us a couple of rooms. We asked for ajoining rooms so that we could keep a close watch on our elder mother in the next room. After all the commotion of them telling us that they did not have adjoining rooms on the 1st floor, we asked for some on the second floor. We get to the rooms and they were not joined. Okay so we let it go. Then we decided we were going to go get in the hot tub. Well, it was closed. They close it at 9:00pm which the clerk did not tell us when we first asked him if they had one when we checked in. The elevator smelled bad. We did not think the place was too clean. We found some dirty socks under the dresser in the bedroom from the previous people that had been in that room I guess.
I won't ever get a room there again. We got better service at the Motel 6 when we stayed there this past summer. And the prices are better for the service we got too.

  • Liked — The continental breakfast was not too bad.
  • Disliked — Not enough towels and the hot tub is not open for the people in the evenings when they would be able to use it since during the day most people are out doing something else.

We stayed here for just one night, but enjoyed our stay. We had been travelling for days, and decided to upgrade to a king room with jacuzzi. Good choice! It was huge, and the jacuzzi was fabulous. Plenty of room for two people.
We had two rooms - a little living room, and a kitchen area as well, with refrigerator, microwave, and sink. The bedroom was quite large, with king bed, and chair. The bathroom opened into the living room and the bedroom both. Nice separate toilet from shower area.
We did not eat in the hotel for dinner, but did for breakfast. Bagels, coffee, juice, boiled eggs, toast. Fresh fruit.
We went to Aztec National park in the morning early, and it is very close, so after we toured, we were able to come back, change clothes, and then check out by noon.
We would stay here again if touring in the area.

We spent one night in this property. We had planned on camping in New Mexico but a chilly wind drove us to seek shelter indoors. As a consequence, we ended up in Farmington in the early evening, trying to find a room at the inn, any inn.

After several calls, we located one of the last rooms (a smoking room) at The Region Inn. We were prepared for the worst but were pleasantly surprised: although the hallway smelled of smoke, the room didn’t at all.

This property exceeded our expectations. The location is easy to find in the downtown area. Our two-bed room was quite large, clean, quiet and secure. The furnishings were relatively simple but of satisfactory quality. The internet connection worked well. The complimentary breakfast was adequate.

We ate dinner at the on-site restaurant. Our Mexican-style dinner was above-average. It was clear that many of the restaurant customers were non-guests, which we took as a sign that it was a desirable place to dine in Farmington.

We would definitely stay there again if we were passing through Farmington.
