Found this inn on Trip Advisor when looking for a one night stay after visiting Georgia O'Keefe Abiquiu home and studio (highly recommended) on the way to Taos. The pictures of the outside of the adobe style inn were very appealing. There were no photos of the 10 rooms, just bed configurations and stepped pricing. What a treat when we entered our gorgeous room with Spanish colonial style carved wooden furniture, a fireplace, a sitting area and two queen size beds that were the most comfortable our trip so far. The rooms are very large and spacious. The breakfast room, also light filled and gorgeous with carved wood furniture and native American art everywhere. Breakfast was delicious, cereals, fruit, yogurt, and the home made breakfast burritos. The Garcia family owns and runs the inn, they are welcoming, warm and very friendly and helpful with any questions you might have

Room Tip: All rooms are lovely, just depends on what kind of bed configuration you want

My husband and I spent our 20th anniversary at the inn. We were thrilled with our room. There are 10 rooms at the inn so it's not a true B&B. Our room (#1) was beautifully furnished, very large and spacious and it seemed very private. The inn provides a very tasty breakfast from 7:30 - 9:30. It's a beautiful place to spend a special occasion.

We spent several weeks travelling in New Mexico and southwestern Colorado in May and early June 2011. We had the good fortunate to stay at The Inn at the Delta while in north central NM. What a beautiful place! If you're planning to stay in Espanola, this is THE place to stay. The outside of the buildings are lovely. The flowers were in bloom all around the Inn. The main building (for check-in and for breakfast) is gorgeous, with many beautiful works of art. There is a small business area just off the entry where visitors can check email. Staff, without exception, were gracious and helpful. We stayed in the San Francisco room. It was huge! Upon entering, there is an ante-room with fireplace, chairs, and a lighted niche of St. Francis. This ante-room opened into a huge room that had a full-size sofa, tv, frig, table and chairs, queen bed, large free-standing closet, sink with mirrors, plenty of lamps, air conditioning which we could control. There was also a full size bathroom with beautiful tilework, jacuzzi in the tub, sink, toilet, etc. Our breakfasts were superb. Mary Margaret, the morning cook, makes delicious breakfast burritos. There is a wide array of other goodies available, too. The dining room was filled with light. We met others from around the country and sat with them for breakfast, sharing places to see and things to do. The town itself (Espanola) had little to offer us. It's a crossroads of sorts with the main drags filled with stores, eateries, gas stations, some retail, etc. But the Inn at the Delta was an oasis among the commercial establishments. It exceeded our expectations. It's also a great spot from which to see Abiquiu and the Ghost Ranch; Bandelier National Monument; Santa Fe; Taos Pueblo; the Santuario de Chimayo. At the end of our days of hiking and seeing the sights, it was wonderful to come back to the Inn at the Delta! For great dinners, try Rancho de Chimayo (about 7 miles east) or El Paragua (in Espanola).

Room 9 is more the twice the size of a usual hotel room with two queen beds. It has a kiva fireplace (which we did not use in June). Hand-crafted furniture (and ceiling with vigas and other attractive features) and hand-painted tile in the bathroom are among many appealing features. The room has a microwavem refrigerator, and coffee maker. The breakfast, featuring home-made breakfast burritos, was delicious.

At this time of year there are some mosquitoes. We used repellent; my son got one bite, and other family members have not reported bites.

This hotel was one of the loveliest I have ever stayed in, and I have been in 5 star hotels in europe. Our room in Espanola was over 600 sq ft, and had two huge sitting areas, including one in front of the lovely kiva-style fireplaces. The tiled bathroom was incredibly beautiful and the jetted tub just added more to an abundance of goodies. The main house where we had breakfast is like a museum, yet we felt like part of a family of aristocrats. The service was impeccable, and our hostess at breakfast even arranged for me to pick up a box fresh cookies like the two that were on our pillows. If you are traveling in the area between Santa Fe and Taos, DO NOT MISS THIS HOTEL. The weavers and chile vendor of Chimayo are right down the road, too!

The Inn at the Delta was a great surprise. The pictures do not do the rooms justice...they are much larger once you are inside. The staff was great, made us feel like we were long lost friends and made us feel like we were home. The soap, lotion and bath salts are awesome; we bought several to bring back home. I would recommend this quaint bed and breakfast. It is in a great spot to be your starting point for the many sites New Mexico offers in the north.
