So this place is located in the Elephant Butte Inn. It is more like a small bar than a restaurant but don't let that fool you. The food was pretty good. We will be back. The service was not so good, they were setting up for a party in the large room and gave us almost no attention, twice I had to walk up to the bar for drink refills.

The bottom line is this is T or C and there is not a lot of choices in this town.

Many choices on the menu from burgers to steaks, American and Mexican. Most times the food is good, but hit and miss sometimes. Nice wine selection.

We stopped in for a quick bite. Waitress, although slow, was very nice. Guacamole tasted off - very vinegar-y; I avoided. My burger was cooked very well. Soups were not great. Green chili stew meat tasted old and dry despite being in broth. Hubby had the Southwest Chicken plate and later than night became very ill (on his birthday none-the-less) which takes a lot for him since he has an iron stomach. Prob won't venture here again!

I just had a burger here which was outstanding, the bartenders, (there were 3) all friendly and outgoing, a lot of locals hang out here and are friendly. If you are staying at the Elephant Butte Inn, eat here, the food was very good and the menu diverse for an out of the way place.
