I went with friends for the first time. Beer was good and food was overpriced bar grub. What was displeasing was the band playing and too loud to converse. Also, there was a cover charge which is a big no no when you arrive to eat. It was winter so I believe it to be a great outdoor venue among sculpture pieces.

We did not try the food but looked like they had daily specials. Most of their brews were ales and/or dark - we tried two of the lighter versions and they were pretty good. The service was a little slow but friendly. They are located approx. four miles from downtown Taos - so you have to be going there - but if you are going out to walk across the bridge on the Rio Grande - it is right on the way. We would go back.

as someone from the mesa i as everyone else was so excited when this venue open but its so sad this was short lived. this is not a venue for people from the mesa as they are just looked down upon and shunned and not really allowed in this establishment. which is a shame as there beer is good but the way they treat people is just appalling and no one from the mesa will waste their time with this venue anymore.
this is a venue for rich white middle class people and if your not in that catorgy then dont waste your time.
lets nope the next people to take over their space can do something good with it as they obviously cant

Awesome atmosphere. We were driving by from earthship to red river where we were staying when we saw the brewery. It looked great and l, my wife and I love visiting local places, so we pulled in. We went inside and were immediately greeted by the bartender "Swift"! She knew all about the beers they had and made great recommendations based off of what we told her we liked!! Our one beer 20 minute stop turned into a multiple drink several hour stop! This place is a MUST visit for anyone in the area. We have been in red river since Friday Jan 24th and this is the best beer stop!! THANKS Swift for making us Texans feel comfortable and welcome from the moment we walked in!!! She definitely made the stop worth while!!!

Thank James G

In our travels across the US we always stop by local breweries and pick up a growler. After reading the mostly positive reviews, and walking into an old airplane hangar turned brewery, we were so excited to be there!Unfortunately, our excitement level by our bratty, know it all server "Swift". Our excitement competly went our the door which we should have gone with. Her attitude was awful and rude the whole time making the whole experience uncomfortable. To top it all off, she did the " Here is your check now let me kiss your butt real quick for a better tip" thing. Never have we stiffed our fellow bartenders and servers, this time we did. Maybe a morgue is a proper place of employment for Swift The food was good and the beer was average. All the other employees seemed happy and proud to be there.
