a metal quonset hut is really not an ideal building for acoustics. and despite the folks at tmb making a valiant effort and some nice equipment (i am friends with the sound engineer), the sound is still not great. it is as if there is no sonic separation of the instruments, they all meld together into what ends up sounding muffled and with not very good range. i know they are constantly trying to figure out ways to make it sound better.

aside from the sound quality, i like almost everything about this place. the atmosphere is very comfortable, and unlike many of the places in taos, those of us with not much money feel welcome, regardless of our dirty work clothes. it is very down to earth, spacious, and the outside areas are great. the food i have tried there has all been good. lots of options for good bar food, as well as some more substantial meals. the beer is good, if not great. the staff is always friendly and helpful.

overall, a great addition to the taos area, particularly for folks that aren't into the more upscale scene in town.

LOVE TMB!! Great music, ambiance, BREWS, and just an all-around super place to hang out. Check it out for that authentic Taos vibe!

We visited this place for the first time this weekend. As former residents of Taos, we realize this great brewing company really fulfills a need- a great place for live music with inside and outside stages. The beer was good, and the food was excellent! They have vegetarian options. They have a Sunday brunch menu. We were there around 1 pm on Sunday and they had a live guitar player jamming in the background. On good weather days, you can sit outside on the patio and see the mountains of the Sangre de Cristos Range, in the Wheeler Peak area. There are pool tables, frisbee golf, and even a place to play sand volleyball. We will be returning here when we hang out in Taos- check it out!

This is a fun, light evening with excellent brews to chose from. A pool competition was in process as we dined, which added to the evening. The food is decent bar fare.

My husband is a beer buff, so we knew we had to stop by this place on our way to the fantastic Rio Grande Gorge Bridge. We met the very friendly bartender who was informative and an all-around great host. We tried a sample of 6 beers (only $1 each!!) and loved every one of them. I'm a porter girl, and they have one of the best I've had in a long time. We met the brewmaster who seemed very busy but happy to talk to us about our travel. Another man, who was like the nicer and friendlier version of the Big Lebowski, chatted with us about their place. Apparently, they were having a huge event involving hundreds of people to celebrate the Rio Grande Monument signing by President Obama. The site itself is designed to look like a flight hanger. They have live music at least 5 days a week and it looks like they have an amazing list of musicians that frequent the brewery. In fact, as we were enjoying our fantastic beers and delicious lunch of pulled pork sandwich and bratwurst sandwich, a bunch of acrobatic-looking people were practicing! Very cool and awesome place that we hope to return to one day.
