Description: Calamity Jane's is a family owned and operated restaurant. We are not a fast food restaurant and take pride in the fact that most of our food is homemade. Take out, catering & special order baked goods available.

How can you not eat or drink here when staying at Laguna Vista Lodge? It is right on the premise. About 30 of us here for a Family Reunion ate here. There was another event going on the same weekend so the restaurant was shorthanded and a little slow. Never-the-less our meals were delicious and affordable. They did an outstanding job of catering our Family Reunion of 55 people. I have never tasted a better beef brisket and the apple, peach, and cherry cobblers were excellent. We also had potato salad, baked beans, chicken, and a few other fixins. I can't complain about any of it and there was enough for everyone to enjoy a second meal that evening.

Food is always good hamburger, chicken fried steak, salads and Mexican food also pasta dishes
The service is slow sometimes because they can’t find help but once your order is turned in you get food fast. Only place in Eagle Nest,N.M. You can get a alcohol drink

We stayed at the Laguna Vista Inn, so we enjoyed a nice meal at Calamity Janes. We had a yummy Monte Cristo sandwich and fries. Our waitress, Rayni, was so nice and we enjoyed our meal. We also hung out in the saloon next door and played shuffle board, farkle, and watched Big Bang Theory! It was just a fun place!

Generous portions, good service. BBQ, burgers, chicken fried steak, New Mexican food. A large group was wrapping up as we arrived so they warned us it could be slow, but we thought our food came pretty quickly.

Stopped in for lunch while visiting the area. The restaurant was pretty busy - always a good sign. I had a chicken salad with walnuts, cranberries and apples - fresh and large! My daughter ordered chicken Parmesan which was not traditional but still very good. My boys had Frito pie and Mac and cheese - both looked great. Thankfully as I have many children, we always take in a game to play while we wait. We played Chicken dominos and got in many rounds as it took about 45 mins to get our food.

The staff was very friendly and chatty when coming around. There was a customer who passed out and they all were helpful and caring. I think the cook came out to help too which could have explained the lengthy wait.

We will definitely go back!!!

Thank you so much for you good review!! And you are correct my Dad is one of the cooks and it really threw us behind serving food the rest of the day. Thank you so much for your patience during that time.
