“BUGS> NO!!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 15, 2012

I drove to Deming three(3) consecative years and stayed at this motel every year. If God permits, I'll be back next year. I drive from Ga just north of Jacksonville Fl. If this was an unclean place, do you think I would drive 3500 miles to sleep with bugs.Pray that I reach a healthy 75 yr old. There are still come caves I'll not explored. Keep a room for me.

I stayed at this hotel/motel last week and have now been left with the indelible signs of bed bug bites. First of all, the hotel was not very clean and I arose the morning after to find a nice mix of insects on the wall, door, bathroom, etc.

So now it has been a week since my stay and I have bumps all over my arms, face, back, and legs! I also have a wicked rash on my arms and legs as well. So needless to say, I will NEVER stay at this "establishment" or any other Days Inn for that matter.

Room Tip: Please stay awake and make the extra trip to El Paso...trust me it's worth driving the additiona...

A family of 4 road tripping from or to Tx, we lucked into a $54/night +tax room (they claimed to be running a special). We got the handicap room which was awesome, a king bed for the parents & a full bed in an attached room for the kids. The night staff-Kat-totally rocked. Helpful, pleasant, accommodating. Beds were soft & comfortable and best on trip. We did need a fan for the attached room (no separate a/c from main room), plugs are not plentiful (we just unplugged the fridge/microwave b/c didn't use them) & a CRT tv (but really who cares, we aren't there for the tv). Since handicap room there was no bath in which to bathe the kids but the shower rocked and was nicely tiled. We went to sleep knowing we had a total steal (& so far cheapest accommodations on trip).

Morning was a bit different. We still loved the room, but the morning staff was quite unpleasant (I was greeted with "do you need something?" when I walked into the lobby), and breakfast was horrible. One kid regurgitated his food and I almost did as well following one bit of eggs. The sausage was not thoroughly cooked & the packets of cream cheese had been sitting on the counter for a couple oh hours without ice yet instructions clearly said to refrigerate. Another couple discussed going to McDonald's. The good news would be the proximity of alternative food choices.

All in all this was a bargain and a comfortable place to sleep, just avoid the breakfast.

Pluses are a decent, clean room, friendly and helpful staff, free Wifi, fridge, microwave and decent complimentary breakfast. Bed was good and it was quiet.

Limitations are open corridors in a typical motel setting(so this should be a 2 star hotel and not 3 star as categorized by some agencies), no view to pseak of, and a paucity of power outlets. I unplugged the hair dryer and coffeee maker near the wash basin in order to charge my laptop and cell phone. TV was a CRT, not a newer flat screen, but it worked fine.

On the whole it provided a comfortable and restful stay.

Comfortable king bed. Reasonable space for Internet work. Clean. Good shower (in-tub). Good full breakfast: eggs, sausage, toast/bagels, & lots more choices. Would stay here again.

I paid $64 for a king size bed, inc. breakfast. The staff was friendly, the room was clean, and for breakfast there was plenty of fresh food.

After a long day of driving - this motel, like Deming - was an oasis in the desert. The rooms are clean, the check-in efficient and the breakfast was outstanding. Thank you.

Room Tip: Ground floor is better as there is no elevator.
