Really cool spot. The enormous rocks are awe-inspiring and the organization has added informational tidbits about the local history.

Has a great time here. Very Quiet. Very Dark Sky at night, so you really do think you're seeing a million stars. Beautiful.
The campground is poked in among very cool natural rock structures & there is also a very small R.V. area with pretty nice, paved, level spots with full hook-ups. At $14.00 a night, you can't be anywhere cheaper.
I was told by the park 'host' that it was "an adult scene" in the winter time. Uh...okay, not sure what to do with that except tell people there might be a haze of drug smoke over the area so don't bring kids...?
That would not deter me from going back, it is a little spot of quiet worth revisiting., and my kid, early teen had a fantastic time climbing with me all over the place.
There is a visitor center too with astronomy & natural history type information.

Also, near to Silver City, a charming old-timey sort of old west town, a nice afternoon away from camp.

It was early evening when we visited, so exploring the rocks in the fading light was an almost unearthly experience. It is completely worth the detour.

It is beautiful and peaceful. I have only been there as a day visitor and I would love to stay overnight.

It is a great place for hiking, camping, boldering, or photography. The sites are tucked in the rocks so most are very private.
