If you're in Cuba, you must be in-between, except for Chaco Canyon, De-Na-Zin, Bisti badlands or the Jemez, I would question why you would be staying here. The best place to stay in town is the Frontier, a block up from the best resturant, Bruno's.
It's clean enough, but not for everyone, staff is friendly and efficient, so far. It's reasonable for this 'out of the way' area of NM. It has the standard old bed spreads that have a few worn spots or holes, but sheets were clean. Shower is small, but plenty of hot water. I generally stay in Cuba only because I avoid tourists and traps of any kind. If you're the sort that can camp like some, the Frontier will keep you warm in winter when Navajo country blows nothing but cold air.More
