My husband and I travel 260 days of the year with our music business. We often prefer hotels for various business reasons. However this was such a treat! The Chocolate Turtle was amazingly flexible, allowing us to bring our instruments in, fitting our work schedule with breakfast, always having healthy and interesting choices of snacks as we came and went, seeing to our every comfort and need! The daily road runner visits, the hawk in the yard, the lovely accommodations and landscaping was a virtual vacation within a work trip!! We felt relaxed and cared for, yet not overwhelmed with Dallas and Nancy! This was the best 'home away from home' we've experienced in 21 years of touring!! A MUST if you will be in New Mexico! Thanks for the great stay!!!

Not only was this a great location, the owners/hosts could not have been more pleasant, helpful, and just plain FUN!!!!! They knew the area well, the history, the best places to eat, see...tips on travel in the local area..

We met the resident road-runners, who visited every morning for a snack. The property had a fabulous view of the Sandia Mts...could sit outside on the patios, wander the gardens, or site inside by the fire.

The breakfasts in the mornings were INCREDIBLE, and the hosts/guests so delightful, we said and talked for over 1.5 hrs!!!

Can't say enough wonderful things about this special B&B.... Kate

My Mom, my sister and I spent one night on our way to Santa Fe. It was charming and warm. Fresh baked cookies greeted us the second we walked in. Nancy and Dallas made us feel so welcome. The rooms have everything you could want or need. Loved the fireplace in the common area. We loved meeting the Road Runner and seeing the bunnies running around. Breakfast was amazing. The best meal we had had in days. The friendliness and warmth at the breakfast table with the other guests was so much fun. It was the morning of my mom's 80th birthday and one she will never forget. Birthday candles on the french toast and birthday wishes from everyone. It was special and I thank everyone for making her feel so special. I would stay there again in a heartbeat!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Chocolate Turtle B&B. The hosts were friendly and helpful, and provided a delicious breakfast that was as much a delight to behold as it was to consume. The house is clean. The yard is fun, filled with feathered and furry little animals that come daily for their snacks. The bed was comfortable, and the linens were fresh 100% cotton.

My husband doesn't like "froo-froo" Victorian style decor, so he was pleased with the simple, clean, colorful, southwest-flavor of the Chocolate Turtle. We stayed in the Sandia Room, which had a great view of the Sandia mountain from the private patio, and a large bathroom.

The only problem, and it was minor, is that the doors are not the least soundproof, so we could easily hear folks talking in the rest of the house (and, presumably, they could hear us).

I would highly recommend the Chocolate Turtle to my friends for a quiet getaway, especially if they love a good breakfast!

The Chocolate Turtle is beautiful! Dallas and Nancy are so kind and caring. They were able to recommend great restaurants and even offered to make reservations for us. The room was nicely decorated and very comfortable. The back porch has a wonderful view of the mountains. The breakfast was amazing! I would definitely stay there again.

This was the perfect place for a first-time visitor to this area. The innkeepers shared sightseeing advice, driving directions, and a little natural history...but never were pushy. Delicious breakfasts, comfortable beds, and a rural setting. I hope to return.
