After a ten hour trip, we stopped here. Friendly front desk staff and rooms were decent. Did hear the trains several times during the night. Breakfast was enough to fill one up. Would stay here again.

This is a well managed motel along the highway through Clayton. The rooms are up-to-date and very clean. The kids will love the outdoor pool and playground. Breakfast buffet is good. I was worried about the train tracks running 1-2 blocks behind this property, but I never heard any noise. Restaurant choices are very limited in Clayton.

There aren't alot of places to stay in Clayton and the mainstreet appears that most business have gone out of business - so we were delighted when our room here was so much more than we expected. They have all the details covered, nice plentiful pillows, comfortable mattresses, extra towels, etc. The only thing that even seemed like an issue was the parking - by the time they sell out all the rooms there aren't enough parking spaces since they allow people with boats and trailers to park on the property too. If we ever end up in Clayton again - we will surely stay here. One other point is they must have some special wall barrier as no noise was heard from any rooms around us and I know a little dog that barked was next door becuase the owners appologized before walking away for dinner....but we never heard the little guy.

Coming home from Colorado with my adult daughter, we were trying to make Amarillo but only got about halfway. Hoping to find some place decent to stay in Clayton, NM, we saw the Best Western sign and decided to stop there. I wasn't hoping for much and was absolutely delighted at the Native American decor and friendly staff. Our room was clean and spacious, with a king sized bed, jet bathtub, nice-sized work table with multiple outlets for PC and other equipment, and large flat screen TV. The room was beautifully decorated in Southwestern theme and the bed was comfortable. Free breakfast buffet was out of the ordinary -- moist scrambled eggs, sausage patties, fresh biscuits, gravy, etc. We had to spend some time in the excellent gift shop, too, before we left! If there is any negative, it's that I awoke once in the night when a train passed nearby, but that's all. This motel is highly recommended and I will definitely stay there again!

It wasn't luxury but it was a good place to stay after a long day traveling and we couldn't go any further. It allowed s dog, which is a must for our little traveling group of girlfriends, as one of the women won't travel without her pet. They had the best breakfast of all those places that cater to travelers and advertise a "continental" but mean skimpy-to-nothing. This place actually had a pleasant diningroom area, freshly made eggs, bacon, etc. My girlfriends and I would recommend it, truly appreciate the clean atmosphere and more, but we paid over $100 per room only because there was no choice so late at night.

Stayed here on drive from Colorado to Dallas. Picked it based on the reviews here and we were not disappointed. The owners/managers here obviously take pride in the condition of the hotel and the service provided. Room was clean and comfortable and nicely decorated. Service was friendly. Hot breakfast was good and welcome in a town with limited options. Would definitely stay here again.

I expected this motel to be clean and conveniently located. However, I didn't expect it to have as much personality as it did. It more than met my expectations. The staff were all helpful and friendly.

The gift shop was a pleasant surprise.
