This was the first stop on our vacation. I made our reservations based on Trip Advisor and once again I was not let down. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was pretty good, although dining was a little cramped. Our room was fantastic, the bed was comfortable, there was a big recliner, a big flat screen TV and the bathroom had a jacuzzi tub which was very nice.

We travel all over from East to West and I have to say, this was a charming hotel. Starting at the front desk with two of the sweetest ladies you could ever meet.
Our room was decorated in a southwest theme, from spanish tiles to western switchplates. We had a coffee maker, microwave/fridge. and all those little soaps and shampoos.
Fluffy towel...and the beds and pillows were perfect.
The parking lot was full when we arrived . Because this hotel is in a town off the beaten path, i think the hotel has a great word of mouth.
The lobby and whole breakfast area is filled with southwest items you can buy...not cheap trinkets but lovely jewlery, vases and art.
And speaking of the breakfast : it was fantastic..we are not really breakfast eaters, but made an exception this time and glad we did. It was also free...

For those who have pets, they have a cute little area set up for them , with a fire hydrant and grass .
I can not think of anything that wasn't perfect about this hotel and would go out of my way just to stay again.
They don't offer lunch or dinner. But 3 blocks down there is a diner that serves really good food and beer and wine.
This place was full as well. The food was just that good.
Happy Trails!!!

This is a nice place, my wife and I liked it, but ... 1) the rooms are dark and have low ceilings; and 2) they offer a 'free breakfast' but you are restricted to ONE glass of milk OR ONE glass of juice and NO more — but all the coffee you want. It is not a cheap motel and the restrictions seem unreasonable to us. We stay at Days Inn in Clayton now, all the juice and milk we want at breakfast.

Stayed here for two nights in July 2008 and could not find one thing to fault the hotel on.
The room was clean, the bed comfortable and the staff first class.
If there was one thing wrong it was the bikers who left early in the morning and woke me but you can't blame that on the hotel.

We spent the night Clayton on our way to Texas to visit family. We stayed at this place because they allowed our baby, Lucy to stay with us. She is a beautiful 7 year old basset hound. This place has it down...they even have a dog poopie area(which has lots of trash bags!) The room was very clean and the staff was very friendly. If only someone could make the wind not blow in Clayton, I might go back!

Despite being next to RR tracks, it's soundproofed well. Pool is large for a hotel. Breakfast buffet is high end for this type of hotel. Basically you can tell the owners care about the place. There is a native crafts sales area with quality stuff. The room has real decor; the pillows were way above average; we had a jacuzzi tub that cost $10 more and tho it filled slowly, it worked well. It smells decent (no overused fresheners) and it was a good value. We'll stay there anytime we pass through.

Lovely hotel and great staff! The outdoor pool is fenced for safety and privacy, and has a cabinet of towels so you don't have to bring one from your room. The free breakfast is the best I've ever seen - eggs, French toast, sausage - all cooked fresh and served buffet style. The beds are soooooo comfortable! The staff is very helpful - we had a small problem with our TV and they fixed it within 15 minutes. Make sure you book in advance - we have stayed here many times and it is always full by nightfall.
