Stopped by this hotel for a look around and lunch. Had a great bison burger and fries. Had the chance to look around at all the historical pieces that were displayed around the premises. Lot's of old west history here.

Spent a night here recently and were very pleased. Without a reservation, we were happy to find rooms were available when we arrived on one evening recently. The clerk was friendly and helpful. We chose to stay in the annex and had a comfortable, quiet room. The annex was across a courtyard from the main hotel and restaurant. Parking was on the street and close by. The exterior of the hotel was lit up and very picturesque. We chose to walk around the block after dinner that evening and thoroughly enjoyed it. After breakfast, we peeked into some of the vacant “historic” rooms. I think we’ll choose one of them the next time. Definitely will return.

We stopped for lunch and were quickly entranced by the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff ( particularly Sarah Michael- she was amazing!), the quality of the food and the history and ambiance of the hotel. We had fish tacos and a bison burger, would recommend both!

While it’s had renovations to improve the restaurant ( apparently much needed) the ceiling sports bullet holes from years gone by and the decor feels like walking back in time. They provide a video with some
History and several informative framed articles.

The newish owner, Robert A. Funk, has done a magnificent job and according to the staff he is friendly and continues to support the restaurant and Inn.

The town of Cimmaron has some amazing history and well worth a stop!

After a long drive from South Texas..it is a welcome sight to see the St.James hotel! We stayed in the Bill Cody room this time...and once we were settled into our beautiful room in the historical upstairs area...we went down to enjoy a steak dinner at the restaurant/bar area. Or room was beautiful! Our dinner was great! Hanging out in the old bar area for after dinner drinks...makes you think you have gone back in time!! The historical rooms are not air conditioned...so you sleep with the windows open...which we worried about the temp! But it was not a problem! It was nice and cool! Slept great and didn't encounter any spirits on this trip (although we had an encounter on our previous trip!!!).

Room tip: Buffalo Bill Cody room was really nice with a King bed and really nice bathroom!

As part of the summer groups that got Burned Out of Philmont, we decided to still come by and visit Cimarron during our driving trip to the Great West.

I had researched St James Hotel and we decided to still come - AND we were not disappointed!

Simply amazing to walk through History and to actually spend two nights in the historic portion of the hotel (Wyatt Earp Room) and to eat in the historic saloon.

The prices are very reasonable the staff is awesome.

Make sure to make this a stop on any journey through the West.
