“Rancho de Chimayo the best ever.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 13, 2013

I've been going to the rancho for many years. I met Casimero Rocca (a Catholic priest-the curate of the Santuario De Chimayo) in 1954. Many times Father Rocca and I have enjoyed a meal at the ultimate in Mexican restaurants. This a 6 star restaurant without a doubt (it only goes to 5 star), the Margaritas are the best anywhere, the service is superb. The price is right and the quality of the food in beyond fabulous. I can't recommend this place highly enough!! A trip to the Santuario De Chimayo is just down the road and a wonderful place to visit....it's the Lourdes of America.......ya gotta see it!

“Excellent lunch”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 13, 2013

We stopped here on our way to Taos after a morning at Bandelier Ntl Monument. We arrived dirty and tired and left refreshed and happy- the lunch plates were just the right amount of food for a hot day and the food was delicious, except for the flautas from the kid's menu (time to ditch the whole kids menu concept everywhere, if you ask me). We chose to sit inside the house as we needed a bit of time out of the sun. It was so pleasant, and would be romantic at night. We plan to return without kids in the future, stay at the inn across the road and enjoy a longer evening meal.

“Very nice atmosphere and food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 9, 2013

This is the second time we've eaten here while visiting Chimayo. The service and food was very good. We both enjoyed the atmosphere here. There are inside and outside tables. Beautiful setting for this part of the country.

“Not Up to Its Past Performance”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 8, 2013

This restaurant is located in an awesome historic area and has always been a favorite of locals and visitors. It was closed due to a fire and seems to have changed much of the staff to restart its recovery. The service is below average at this point and the food isn't as good as most New Mexican restaurants. The area around Santa Fe has a lot of really top notch restaurants, so for now I would skip this one. The building and patio areas do not seem to have been damaged and still do provide lots of New Mexican atmosphere.

“Nice atmosphere, good food.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 8, 2013

Rancho de Chimayo has an atmosphere and ambiance that is hard match. Located outside the city limits of Santa Fe, the restaurant is able to provide a gorgeous setting for a meal.Outside tables, flower gardens etc the feeling you get when watching movies of of old Spanish/Mexican villa life.
The food was very good and the prices reasonable.
