“Still Hitting the Mark”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 27, 2014

Have eaten here for many years but not frequently. It still seems to maintain the quality even if the prices have gone up. Will eat here again in the future. Just know that the portions are pretty large. Unless you are very hungry or want to share, plan on taking some home. Definitely comfort food.

“Wanted Seconds”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 25, 2014

We have always enjoyed Range Cafe but our recent visit was the best.
Taking advantage of the June Father's Day special, I had the Green Chile Eggs Benedict. I had to control myself from not ordering an entire second helping it was that good. The chiles in the hollandaise was flavorful, the chilies in the sausage added the perfect heat, and the crisp on the sausage added a perfect crunch.
It was a pleasure to send my compliments to the chief which our waitress said brought smiles in the kitchen - such an easy gesture upon having a good meal. This was clearly the best Eggs Benedict I have ever had - I'm just sorry I don't live down the street.

“A Reasonable Priced Gourmet Eclectic Restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 21, 2014

The owners, chefs and staff at The Range continue to excel in all departments. I was here in 2011 and have returned to Bernalillo for an extended stay to beat the humidity in Florida. A few days ago I had the Tuscan Omelette for breakfast. It includes fresh spinach, artichoke hearts, Parmesan cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, avocado, and pistachio pesto. Made with three fresh eggs and includes a large side of mixed fruit and a side of toast/bread of your choice. I skipped the potatoes. This excellent combination tasted wonderful and I am always impressed with the variety and quality of cuisine at this place. It's always full of diners so swing on by if you're in the area. You won't be disappointed. And don't forget the Lizard Lounge there and the lineup of music venues during the week.

“Mixed”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 21, 2014

Visited Range Cafe twice and found it inconsistent. My first visit was lunch. The bistro salad was excellent, though the service was slow and inattentive even though the wait person was not busy. Second visit was for breakfast. I sat at the bar and had excellent service, though the veggie omelet was odd, some veggies finely chopped and overcooked while others were in large chunks and raw. Coffee was good. Setting is pretty typical for NM, lots of art on the walls, interesting tables and chairs.

What a glorious place to meet, greet and eat with longtime friends - the food was fabulous and the portions were wonderfully sized! the drinks were splendid and the staff was so very attentive. we were able to sit and visit without anyone rushing us, and at the same time, we were taken care of timely and by such a friendly staff!
