My wife and I were visiting the Albuquerque area for our anniversary, and stayed in Corrales. We had heard about the Flying Star and decided to try it for breakfast. We enjoyed it so much that we ate breakfast there almost every morning during our visit. In our area here in North Carolina, the only thing we have that is comparable is Panera Bread. However, Flying Star is several stars ahead of them. We just wish the Flying Star company would shine here.

Quality ingredients, and consistently good quality at the few we have tried. It is a popular chain, so it can be very crowded during the lunch rush, but it has never seemed too loud. In fact, it was still possible to have a decent conversation while surrounded by others. It's got a real coffee house feel, and sometimes there's a "vibe" when toddlers got antsy and noisy. Might have just been the people at the time.

We were happy when Flying Star Cafe came to Bernalillo as they are known for their wonderful deserts. We have found out that they also serve much more! They serve excellent breakfast choices as well as hamburgers and sandwiches for lunch and dinner. My favorite of all is the Turkey Jack sandwich. It is a must have if you like green chili.

We had stopped in at the Flying Star Cafe one morning because another restuarant was too crowded. Food was wonderful -- we shared the french toast with carmelized syrup/strawberries with whipped cream. Besides ordering individual breakfasts of eggs and their delicious pepper sausage. Everything on the menu sounded very appetizing. The staff was great and moved to get the orders out, In our opinon they just didn't have enought staff to cover the people that were waiting to order, I must say it was a weekend of the balloon fiesta, they should of had more staff to accommodate the people who come in for the 2 weeks. We will go back to the Flying Star Cafe the next time we visit, the food is very good and the staff was very courteous.

I say I will never go back, but get dragged into lunch meetings here. It seems every time, a plate and a drink and I am at $15.....if there was a tip it would be more. Nice atmosphere... But they need present a better valued meal. Won't return unless forced by a meeting.....
