Although the location is excellent and the rooms are spacious, this resort lacks and I would not recommend it. The large public areas and hallways were not clean and poorly lit. The Spa Area
looked dreary and pricey compared to services listed at 5 star hotels. The food and service was ordinary. The breakfast buffet if you could call it that was limited The bar area was closed most of the day where the TV was located. Although reasonably new, the place felt dated and needs a makeover.

Heaters was added to our room for warmth.

This Resort seems to be one of the best among others in Bumthang. Stayed two nights in this resort. Rooms are spacious and the lobby is big compared to many other hotels I stayed in other parts of town in Bhutan. However the access road to the Resort needs to be black top as it was frustrating driving on the rough road to reach the hotel.

Arriving to Yugharling Resort after a long and tiring journey in Bhutan roads is one of best experience. cosy bungalows and very confortable bedrooms with luxury details, lets you rest from the long trip. You can also enjoy the panoramic views of valley from your room. The best, is the confortable rooms and the service, people working at resort are very kind and very eager to help. I really apreciated this kindness. The worst thing, is that we stayed there for just 1 night, not enough time to enjoy the resort : ( But hope next time we will stay longer and enjoy one of bests resorts and spa :)

This resort is excellently located offering a fantastic view of the valley. All staffs are extremely polite, friendly and courteous, especially the staff at the restaurant provided exceptional service. The lobby downstair has WIFI connection and a firewood heating system which is really nice during a cold Bumthang evening. The rooms and toilets are clean, spacious and well-equipped with everything you may expect from a 3/4 star facility. Overall, I highly recommend this resort.

Stayed 2 nights in this lovely hotel not too far from town, down a very bumpy track.

Our room had been decorated with fresh flower petal love heats for our arrival & tea & delicious home made biscuits similar to short-bread were served on arrival.

Meals were served buffet style as in most places in Bhutan but the quality & variety were excelent. Tea-momos & other home made breads were excellent & the chocolate cake for pudding was a refreshing change to the usual banana/apple/honey platter.

The staff were excellent and always ready to help & friendly.

Free wi fi in the lobby.

The hotal was packed during our stay due to the local festival & guests staying for the Royal wedding in the next valley. Despite this nothing was too much trouble to the staff.

Cottages have excellent views of the valley, a balcony & sitting area.

Only negative to this hotel - it was the only one not to provide complementary water in your room & there is no in-room safe.

We are glad we changed to this hotel. The road to the hotel is like being on a blender. Once there, you get a really nice view of the valley, the river and the Dzong. Sometimes the best hotel in an area is a dump. But when there are nice places and you pay for 3 and 4 stars hotels you should get them. Our agent picked a very bad place for our first hotel and the other one is this town, so we were very firm about getting what we paid for and were moved but only for the second night.
The lunch was very good but dinner was really poor. Different chefs?
The room was very large with a small sitting area behind the balcony were you could also sit and enjoy the view. Two full size beds with very nice linen. Nicely decorated and very clean. Bed was comfortable and so was the pillow. The walls are a bit thin. What is it with Chinese people that they have to spit and gaggle so much?
Light for reading is a bit poor. The entire room can do with a little more light.
We had 3 heaters 2 in the room and one in the bathroom.
Wi-Fi- Worked only in the lobby.
No TV.
No Refrigerator- but we bought fresh milk and they boiled it for us and took it to our room.
Room for bags- Nice bench for two large bags, a vanity and a large area were the complementary coffee and Tea Kettle were.
Bathroom had floor to ceiling tile and a good shower with plenty of hot water. They have a nice spa were I had a good one hour massage, but despite having showers there, I had to come to the room all greasy since they did not have hot water.
They have a clothes line.
No safety bar in bathroom, is a tub shower combination.
Towels very nice and clean
Amenities –Shampoo, gel, soap and a shower cap.
The hair dryer gets very hot very fast.
No full length mirror or makeup mirror, but after all this time on the road who wants one.
Parking-yes
Laundry-yes, but more expensive than other places.
Complimentary bottle water.
It is difficult to have to travel with the same guide all the time. Especially when he had a runny nose and will not use a tissue! He was constantly eating and spitting things out the car window!
I hate this system as you get stuck with the company and the guide you get and for $500 a day per couple it is frustrating!
