The castle, bazaar, and ethnographic museum tell the story of how Skandeberg defended his country. The bazaar has local crafts plus relics from the cold war and WW II. The war surplus store is a must see if you want Communist uniforms, hats, medals, belt buckles, etc. They had a German officers's sword as well. Worth the drive. We hired a taxi from Tirana, had the driver wait for 2 hrs, for only $50. Also, in Albania, you can spend dollars or Euros everywhere. but some places will slightly cheat you in the exchange, but still better than banks. Looking forward to our next visit.
