The service at the desk was very helpful when we asked them where to eat, where to go for a drink. The price of the room was reasonable. Rooms were clean and quiet.
Staffs were honnest and very nice

This older style hotel has basic rooms in need of a make over but they are clean, spacious and cheap and do the job for a one night stay on your way to Phu Quoc Island.
The staff are friendly and helpful

Kim Co was a lifesaver for us, having traveled to Rach Gia with no idea where we'd stay when we arrived. We didn't even research possibilities until getting off the bus and heading across the highway to an internet cafe. Kim Co was one of only two decent looking hotels I found online, and I was in need of a warm shower and a cold beer after the dusty bus ride from Can Tho and the harassment from the xe ôm driver at the bus depot.

Despite being drab, the hotel was clean and quite satisfactory, and a great deal at 23USD. The clerk showed us a room before we committed, and we were pleased with it. Service was pleasant, but not over the top. We had no trouble getting anything we needed, which wasn't much. The shower was hot and the beer from the mini bar was cold.

Kim Co's location is ideal. Everything was within walking distance, though the pier would be a bit of a hike. We opted for a taxi to get there the next morning. There is a police station across the intersection which made us feel safer, especially in light of the psycho xe ôm driver who stalked us for 45 minutes after our arrival.

Incidentally, we had our favorite meal of the entire trip just a couple of blocks from the hotel. My apologies for not remembering the name, but it's on the same street as the Kim Co. Go to the right out of the hotel door, and just after you pass a rather nice looking bar/restaurant on the right, look for an open-air, family-run establishment on the left. Great, authentic food!

Everyone kept advising us that Rach Gia would be a wasted night on the trip, and that we should fly to Phu Quoc instead of taking the early boat. That was not the case. Not only did we find Rach Gia to be very charming and authentic, the ride on the Super Dong II was refreshing, beautiful and fun. Go enjoy Rach Gia!

At $15-$20 (US) per night, this hotel was a bargain. The staff did not speak much English but they were very nice and tried to be as helpful as possible. My top priority is a clean room and the room was very clean. They changed the bottom sheet daily, but no top sheet was used and I don't know that they changed the top quilt like cover daily. We had to unexpectedly stay for a second night, and asked our travel agent if there were any more full service hotels in the area and we were told that that the Kim Co was the nicest hotel in town - based on feedback from other travelers we met, this sounds accurate. It does appear that a nice new hotel may be going in right across the water from the Super Dong.

I couldn't book this hotel online so I booked it through Ms. Ha ([--]). I had initially contacted JasonSS for assistance with this but he doesn't work with this hotel so was not able to assist. He books with the Gia Thao hotel.

Stayed here on recommendation of lonely planet guide after getting off the ferry from Phu Quoc. Only 15,0000 VND for a taxi to the hotel from where the ferrys get in

200,000 VND (12$ AUD) for a corner room overlooking a small intersection, with Aircon, Sat TV, stocked minifridge (Bird nest in a can, yum) and wi-fi in room. Rooms were clean and well presented, handy to a few good eating places. Feels secure, felt like I could leave my bags without fear of robbery.

The stairs are a bit of a pain though (I'm on the 4th floor), but you really want a top floor room if you can, the street noise can get a bit full on. Good luck trying to sleep in.

Girl on the front desk was very nice and speaks english fairly well. I mentioned I wanted to go to Can Tho the next day and she quickly arranged a bus ticket for me as well as pickup to the bus station. Cant complain about the service.

All in all I would reccommed this hotel for anyone planning a stay in Rach Gia, it would be hard to top for value.

Hotel Kim Co was probably the best value for money during my whole trip.
To be honest, most people only stay in Rach Giá for one night going to Phu Quoc and then Kim Co is the perfect choice.
Got there late at evening and got a colourful room with pastelcolours from the eighties. Pink, green, blue and more in a funny mix. The standard of the rooms is far from the eighties though. Rooms looks new with AC, private bathroom, 50-channel TV and are really clean. The receptionstaff arranged for boattickets to Phu Quoc for the next morning.
The location is good on a quite backstreet in the centre of Rach Giá. You could probably walk to the boatpier in 15 minutes but a motodriver will take you there in a few minutes.
Paid only 200.000 VND for the room which I think is really cheap for this standard.
I will certainly recommend Kim Co Hotel.
