A true tropical paradise. Most of it has been said before, this place is a serene, friendly and enjoyable island getaway. In my opinion this resort lends itself to couples and small groups of people aged in their late 20's - 40's. Having said that the resort does cater for all people.

The staff, of which there are many, are genuinely happy, cheerful and helpful. There is a sense of pride working for this resort.

The resort is very well looked after. I walked to the neighboring properties and there is a clear difference. Namely the cleanliness of the grounds and beach. There is a concerted effort to clear rubbish at Mango Bay.

We stayed in a Fishermans Bungalow. Pay the extra for the sea view as it's worth it. The rooms are great. Yes there are no mod cons like air con, bright lights etc but this is an eco resort. I really enjoyed the bungalows as it really enabled me to relax and put modern life behind. That being said they are still spacious and well appointed. I loved the outdoor bathroom!

I had the most amazing massages and spa treatments at the wellness centre. Staff here are well trained, the rooms are very clean and it's magical receiving a massage by the ocean with a cool breeze blowing.

The main restaurant offers fantastic cocktails. Being right on the ocean makes for a spectacular view, especially at sunset. Whilst many on here rave about the food I was a little underwhelmed. I found the Asian dishes tending to be more Thai style with very limited Vietnamese food. The Viet food on offer wasn't that great to be honest. I personally would have preferred the Asian dishes to be more spicy, however I simply added some fresh chilli. Overall I found some dishes really good, others mediocre. Again I think the menu could benefit from many more Vietnamese dishes and maybe some training of the chefs to produce more authentic viet dishes.

I will be coming back again, and would love to organise a small group of friends to join in this magical experience.

Room Tip: We chose the Fishermans Bungalow F03 which has sweeping ocean views and is close to the wellness cen...

We didn't stay here but stayed next door at Blue Sea Resort. We did eat here and the food was top rate 5 Star great selection well presented a good wine list that could have maybe more USA and NZ wines on it. We had 2 starters 2 mains and 2 Deserts 1bottle of wine 2 cocktails and a beer for $80 US very good value.
They offer good excursions every day and there is Spa Facilities well priced and a lovely beach bar well positioned to take in the sunsets.
We looked at the rooms and thought they were a little dark and set back in the trees.
The staff were very attentive and we even had the assistant manager serve us and talk at least twice while we're at the resort over 3days.
The male receptionist was abit arrogant toward us when he found out we were staying next door and didn't want to show us any rooms and suggested we look on the web site.
I would Strongly suggest a NO Smoking policy especially in the restaurant as it was really a no go in such a lovely place

We were not disappointed with our decision to stay. After a hectic first part of our holiday we so looked forward to some relaxation. We were met at the airport, a warm welcome from reception staff and the personal greeting from management. We chose a sea view bungalow which was fantastic, with its balcony with deck chairs, spacious room and natural look outdoor bathroom. Our stay here was complimented with participating in the cooking class (yum), a day trip to Sao Beach, fishing town, kampot pepper farm and fish sauce factory and of course the pearl farm (great bargains with jewellery) we were taken along the coast rd, a little rough but amazing to see a glimpse into the culture of the island per development. We had all our meals at the resort, best happy hours we've ever had, great spa house and treatments, great beach area no need to fight for space. Oh and must say we loved watching the fireflies buzz about the gardens each evening. Amazing, beautiful little treasure on the island.

Room Tip: Any would be great

You are delivered to the carpark by their butterfly garden, then a short walk takes you to reception and the open restaurant area. Check in on the terrace a few metres from the rocky seashore while being served iced tea and a slice of mango. One of the best welcomes I have had anywhere!

The resort has an eco theme. Rooms are basic but functional - the outdoor bathroom gardens are a delight. No TV so you waste no time surfing unwatchable programs :~)) Each has a spacious terrace to relax on and watch the sea or the garden. Did not need a/c either. Fans are more than adequate.

There is a range of options for sightseeing but did not try. The massage in the Spa was very good. Other guests recommend hiring a motorbike for $10 and constructing your own tour. Dinner was variable. Sea Bass one night was sensational but chicken the next ordinary. Do try the creme brullee which comes in 3 pots variously flavoured with vanilla, star anise and ginger. Breakfast, included in my deal, was excellent.

The staff deserve a special mention - went out of their way to be helpful.

Room Tip: Worth paying extra for the sea view. When I was there (August) the constant sea breeze kept the temp...

We spent 3 nights at this resort after the chaos of Ho Chi Minh. It was a great place to relax and unwind before continuing on our journey. The rooms are basic as was expected, but the location and service were very good. Unfortunately during our stay, the weather was overcast, and as a result we only had cold showers. The resort provides a thermos with hot water for tea/coffee, but would benefit from providing a jug.
The views from the restaurant are fantastic and the food is amazing. The spa also provides a great massage at a good price.
Well worth a visit,

We have spend the past 2 years living and working in Ho Chi Minh City. As a result we have come to Mango bay Many times. Mango Bay has been and is perfection. It is low density accommodation so that you never really feel as though you are in a resort. The food is fantastic and the menu changes regularly. The Spa gives some of the best massages around. The Staff make an amazing effort to make you feel welcome always greeting you by your first name. We always leave saying that Mango Bay could never get any better, but each time we come back again, there have been changes that make your stay even better. Their commitment to making the hotel even better is exceptional. To summarise Mango Bay has been and is our favourite place in Vietnam to stay.

Spent seven nights here at the end of July. It felt like arriving in paradise. Loved the idea of Mango Bay being away from it all. The outside bathroom was really special, loved sitting on the loo & looking out onto beautiful greenery. Very few bugs or mosquitoes, mind you it rained every afternoon.
Staff were fantastic, service was faultless, thank you TinTin for the fab cocktails and the day out with you driving around the island. Each time I'll be using my jar of pepper corns, I will be thinking of you!
Really enjoyed all the breakfasts, lunch and dinner ditto, food & service great.
Thank you all at Mango Bay!
