“A Must Visit-- Beautiful & Thoughtful Resort”

Mango Bay is not your typical resort; instead its an eco-friendly resort that celebrates nature with an environmentally concious perspective. There's no AC or TV, but neither is needed. The seabreeze and endless adventures account for modern amentites. The staff is amazing- so helpful and kind. One of the staff took my husband and I on a private island tour on his day off! A wellness center on-site with facials and massages at a great price. Very nice touch to tip-off a relaxing holiday. The food and chef is suburb! As for the adventures, skip the pearl factory-- not worth the time. But, motorbiking the island, trekking in the jungle, swimming, and visiting the markets are recommended. If you are wise, visit soon! PhuQuoc is being built up massivly and will be a different island in just a few years.

This hotel is nice for what it is, which is luxury camping, and that should be no more than 1/3 the price. It is completely bare bones - e.g., they said if you need anything just call us; however, there are no phones in the room so we were instructed to use our cell phones. Also, the outside bathroom is covered a little bit by an overhang, which isn't long enough so acutally ends up dumping more water on you. The best part was the food which was really good.

Out of the control of the hotel, but something you should consider is that the roads are very difficult and so we had a walk a ways between the airport shuttle and the hotel because the vehicle couldnt make it the whole way. Also the rooms are open to the outside and so it is very, very buggy.

We stayed 3 nights at the Mango Bay resort. Despite it being the rainy season we really enjoyed our time there. The staff were fantastic, very friendly and professional.
We had a massage in the inhouse spa which was very nice and relaxing.
The food in the restaurant was some of the best we had in our travels in Vietnam, fresh, tasty and healthy. They even provided a surprise birthday cake for us.
The positives are the staff, the rooms, the beaches and the restaurant.
The negatives, it's down a bumpy wet track to get to the hotel, and you will need help from the staff, they do this with all guests and it's not too much of an issue.
The restaurant needs to get with the rest of the world and have a no-smoking policy, many of our meals were disrupted by inconsiderate smokers.
We had a garden view room which was lovely but desperately needed another chair or a lounge, we found we had to spend a long time sitting on the bed when a couple of chairs in the room would have lifted the experience.
All in all a great experience and we would recommend Mango Bay, but probably only in the dry season.

Room Tip: If you can afford the extra it's worth getting a sea view room

We had 4 great days at beautiful Mang Bay at Phu Quoc, Vietnam. Even this time was concidered rainy season, we had a good time. Met according to agreement at airport, knowledgeable driver, short transfer.
Charming place, well trained staff, absolutely delicious food (Vietnamese and western and fusion), peace in mind.
Shortly; just great. Will be back.

Room Tip: Bungalow on the beach.

I checked in this resort in a rainy day so the short walk to the reception became a kinda soft adventure. I went through the dirt alley with some small gardens of butterflies. Then the scene is opened up with the green grasses then the reception. How amazing this place is contructed!!! The room at first sight was so so however once I stepped in the bathroom, I must said that it was a wow impression. It is the open bathroom with trees and birds, I even saw a squirrel up on the tree early in the morning right from my bathroom. Food in the restaurant was beautiful from breakfast to lunch and dinner. Especially the wooden cough on the rocks reminds me of Cloud9 in Sihanoukville Cambodia. Luckily my weekend was full of sunshine so the beach was awesomewith white sand and nice purple cushions. I would recommend this resort even it doesn't have a pool.

Great service from the moment we arrived at the airport! Free pick up and drop off after our stay. A lovely welcome to the resort and loved the garden bungalow we had booked. Lots of nice touches, like beach bag with beach towels, map & sun cream. We really enjoyed our stay there.

We really loved it here. The bungalows are quiet, clean and private. Their location could not be better, right on the beachfront. The seafood is absolutely delicious and the staff are truly curteous and friendly - we live in Hanoi where people can be really gruff and it was a welcome change! The resort actually covers a decent area of the beach and fairly wild forest so you can lose yourself in the grounds, or you can spend time indulging at the resturant and bars. We did both ha ha. The staff are tasked with litter picking the beach and forest twice a day in order to maintain a clean envrionment for guests and for the herd of cows they keep there (it's lovely hearing the cow bells in the distance and watching the sun go down from the bungalows). We were sorry to leave.
