“A relaxing place in Phu Quoc Island”
Reviewed August 28, 2012

After having travelled up and down in Vietnam, we ended in Phu Quoc Island to relax a little bit and in this resort we found the perfect place to do it.
We were here in the rainy season, so the place was quite empty and we have been upgraded in the bungalow on the beach, even if we booked a standard room. This was a nice welcome of the resort.
The bungalow was really nice, big, clean and finally had a comfortable bed with a mosquito's net.
There are two restaurants with vietnamese and western food, the price are more expensive than in the restaurants but the food was ok. The breakfast is served in one of the restaurants and it's on average.
The beach is tiny, but to be fair it's the rainy season, so the sea is really rough.
The structure in itself offers different solutions: from standard rooms to beachview bungalows, ping pong table, outside chess board, minigolf, SPA. So if you want just to relax for few days and don't want to move from the resort, you can do it. Then if you get bored to stay here, they offer bikes to explore the island or boat tours. You can also easily walk on the main road and taste food in one of the nice restaurants on the street.
So I can recommend this resort, if you end in Phu Quoc.

Excellent resort! Very spacious beach section with guards even! Room was very big and clean - only miss matbe the bathroom but it was big.
Nice restaurant - eaten well.

Location just perfect - closest resort to the city center and the night market to grab dinner (walking distance- max 7 mins).

Having just spent 6 nights at this resort I am leaving totally relaxed. This property is a little tired, however the staff make up for this. Lien is wonderful in the breakfast and dining ares and the reception staff couldn't be more helpful. They are very good and the Jojoba Spa is really a nice on site service, however it could do with a make over it self .I did find food supplies were running out of the basics :ie bananas! from time to time.
Overall I would stay here again for the peace and quiet, the amazing pool and the beach side location that afford you nice sea breezes. Though it is a cab ride to town $2AUD so not a big ask on the budget.

Room Tip: Ask for the Villas. Well worth the bit extra.

We stayed here for 3 nights in a Panorama room,it was huge ,nice balcony overlooking the grounds with nice gardens and palm trees ,could easily see the water from the room which was great .huge jacuzzi in the room too !
The resort is right on the beach and although it was windy when we were there ,and not so good for swimming ,the pool was great for a dip .
The buffet breakfast was a treat, full western with great bacon and eggs and plenty of local dishes too. They have a huge variety.
My girlfriend is Vegetarian and they had no worries making her some vegan food without prior notice .
The best thing at the resort is the buffet dinner, seafood bbq ,sushi, western dishes and lovely salad and fruit .all you can eat for abot 17 US,the seafood is great .
I highly recommend this hotel,i have travelled all over Vietnam and this is the nicest place i have stayed for a long time ,will be back for sure .

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view room,I did and got a beauty !

Let's talk about accommodation first, I booked 2 Star Cruises and the rooms were facing to the beach, you can hear the waves & only few steps to access the beach. The wifi are available everywhere in the resort but were not stable & weak sometimes. The rooms were old even though i believe they had been renovated but need to be renovate again, especially the bathroom. The bed was so hard (very common in Vietnam) but the size of bed is really big (bigger than king size). The resort provide many sport activity like water sport, goft driving range & putting, tennis courts & swimming pool. However, the beach wasnt great, no concrete construction but there are sand space & the waves were so strong, by the time i came, there was no beach staff to assist me on giving towel so i have to look for myself. I walked through the beach to many other resort and things are the same. I recommend should visit Sao Beach or discover some wild beach.

Finally, the service. They "impressed" me at the beginning, give 1 room 2hr early & told us that the other room was being cleaned. I was fine for me as we went for lunch, the disappointment when i asked whether they give me a call when my room is ready & they gave the key card to me, saying that i have to check that room myself whether it is cleaned to access the room as it's next to our ready room!!! Another was when i asked suggestion for lunch, they immediately answer the restaurant in the resort, but when i asked for more options outside the hotel, they didnt answer & stated that not many restaurant around (what about 5mins cab riding to the town centre). By the way, the foods are extremely overpriced, they charge simple Vietnamese dishes as the same price range with western choices. The dinner buffet wasnot many choice but there's a waiter, name Duy Phuc or Duy Phu, he was really helpful & friendly, he gave us many information on where to eat outside & where to go. He also asked us what we want to eat to bring the food for us. Finally, dont book service at tour desk as they are 2 or 3 times higher than other reliable, good travel agent outside.
I love Phu Quoc but not because of this hotel, it is because of Sao beach & a restaurant in night market.

Room Tip: V.I.P rooms are much higher prices than Star Cruises but most of SC rooms have seaview, some even al...

This is a mediocre resort that is overbuilt and claustrophobic and situated on a lousy beach. Many of the rooms look onto the backs of other buildings, despite being called “Panorama”

The service is poor and geared to Vietnamese so the food choices and quality is poor and the breakfast is miserable.

There is absolutely no reason to visit Phu Quoc if you are going to stay in this place.

Room Tip: Make sure you have a view from your window that is not into the back of the next building.

We had a wonderful stay. From the friendly front desk staff, to the restaurant large buffet and extensive menu options, to the beach. Great location!
I had an unfortunate burn from the hot stone massage. The staff was so appropriately concerned and a bit horrified. They couldnt have been more helpful. They also offered a free massage. And to some construction, maintenance next door, they upgraded us to ocean front room! It was really lovely. Would definitely return!
