This amazing collection of cottages rests on a beautiful stretch of shaded beach with crystal clear water. The staff keep the beach and the water pristine. The bungalows are spacious with large canopy beds.

The Vietnamese-American family that runs the place knows what they are doing. Everything from the food to the decor is done in perfect taste. The staff are super friendly and management is great.

Room Tip: Try the wooden cottage if it is available!

Bamboo cottages is not pretending to be a swanky 5 star resort but this is what makes it just so utterly charming. Go here if you just want to get away from the hassle's of life and just chill out. The setting is beautiful, the rooms are clean and tastefully furnished , the food is simple but very high quality and fresh. If you are the kind of person who stresses about not being served for 5 minutes this is not the place for you but if you can just go with the flow then it will suit you down to the ground. The staff are what really make this place though.... Van is a superstar who will make sure everything is as you want it. Only other thing to say to echo other sentiments is that I wouldn't come here if you want to go off and do day trips every day, purely as the track is long (45 mins) and bumpy, we did one day trip in 5 (to the pearl farm- DO NOT GO THERE awful awful place) and that was plenty. Very romantic setting for couples. Enjoy!

These cottages are located in an isolated part of the island overlooking a pretty strip of beach. If you want aircon, 24/7 power, extensive food options or a resort with all the trimmings then Bamboo is not for you.
If you're after a few days of peace and quiet surrounded by nature (and the bugs/ animals that come with it), then you'll love it.
We visited in the low season and had no issues with wait times for food or resources (eg towels).
Because of the distance from town this accom and food are relatively expensive, and menu options were limited from meal to meal.
Staff we unobtrusive and pleasant, though could be a bit more proactive in taking orders etc- but then so could most places in Vietnam.
Overall this was a lovely spot to have a few quiet and restful days by the beach.

Stayed at Bamboo Cottages for 4 nights in September 2013. Since it was low season we had the whole resort to ourselves! It was exactly what was needed, a quiet, white sand beach stretching outside our door, speckled only by fishing boats. The staff was thoughtful and friendly, helping us get into town, go for a motor bike ride to a walk through the forest, and go kayaking. Like other reviewers have said, this may not be the resort for everyone. It takes 45 mins to an hour to get into town (over bumpy, unpaved roads). For us, this added remoteness gave us just the getaway we needed and I wouldn't have stayed anywhere else.

Actually if you wanna stay at hotel equipped with modern installations you don't choose this hotel and you should go to other noisy crowded fake natures island. Coz there is no air conditioning and TV, and you can use electricity only night.
But if you need a good rest and relaxing time in your routine life this place will be perfect for you.
The room is on the beautiful beach and amazing atmosphere. Nice garden, delicious foods, great location. You can go around nature island by cheap rental motorcycle.
Also one girls staff who is fluently in English with pretty smiling is always taking care of everything you want.
Have a nice trip!
